180 MEDICINE

It is a proven fact that a person's mental and spiritual health is strongly correlated with physical health.[1]

The Bible revealed this to us with these statements (and others) written by King Solomon about 950 BC.

Keep remembering as you read these verses that the Life in the Flesh is in the Blood. Lev. 17:11

Psalm 139

A recent study showed the effects of what anxiety and stress do to arterial flow rates throughout the body.

People watching comedy or inspirational movies had a 25% increase in arterial blood flow. People watching sad movies had a 35% decrease in arterial blood flow.

The arteries either constricted or dilated depending on the patients mood.

Now consider the above modern medicine studies when you look at the happiness, anxiety and bitterness in the following verses from 3000 years ago.

Proverbs 14:30
A sound heart (Dilated Arteries) is life to the body, But envy (Constricted Arteries) is rottenness to the bones. Why? Reduced Arterial Flow.

The light (a bright positive outlook) of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report makes the bones healthy.

DILATED OR CONSTRICTED?

Over time calcium and plaque build up on the endothelial lining of the artery. The endothelium is damaged each time it is being constricted. Years of anxiety and bitterness cause constriction. Mitosis and Cellular Proliferation settle in at the damaged endothelial lining when the injury occurs and over time blocks arterial flow.

The process of Mitosis and Cellular Proliferation causes plaque build up in the intima, media and adventitia layers of the artery. This limits the amount of oxygenated blood that gets to the rest of the body. In the heart this can cause a heart attack and in the carotid artery a stroke.

By living with a positive outlook each day knowing and trusting God with everything we do our lives will be much more Joyful and Productive!

Why?

Because the Arterial Blood Flow with Red Blood Cells containing Oxygen will not be compromised.
