DANIEL180: IF GOD WERE TO ASK ME.... CONFUSION!
As I was reading from the Ancient Scrolls discovered in 1948 in 11 caves in Qumran. To Cain after Cain had murdered Abel:
The LORD said,
"Where is your brother Abel?"
"I don't know," he replied. ""Am I my brother's keeper?" (You wanted a blood sacrifice and I gave you one).
The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.
My Redeemer said to me, "Why was Cain angry?"
I said, "only you know my Lord!"
He said, "where does Anger come from?" Then I began to think about what was going on. This is the first time we read about Anger in the Ancient Scrolls,
And the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? and why is your face sad?"
Then I said, "Cain is in bondage isn't he? He is stuck in bitterness, anger and anxiety." My Redeemer said, "Cain gave 'some' of the fruit of the soil while Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock."
It is important to know that Cain was only giving Me what He didn't want any way.
It is impossible to do your best when you are choked out by bitterness and strife. Abel on the other hand gave me the best of what he had including the best firstborn of his livestock.
In other words Cain was only going through the motions to get by. Then I remembered that it was clear from the beginning in the Volume of the Ancient Scrolls that the requirement was a blood sacrifice to cover the sin of mankind.
Abel was willing to do the right thing in his sacrifice but Cain was not. Abel was humble before God and Cain was haughty with a Prideful look before God.
Cain let a root of bitterness grab hold of him.
Abel Feared or was in Awe of God while Cain was Fearful of not having enough!
Abel revered God and Cain despised God.
Abel lived in the Spirit but Cain lived in the Flesh.
Abel had learned to accept responsibility for his situation but Cain whined and complained about his. We need to be Responsible for our own actions before our maker. I can go on the Jerry Springer show and blame people but the results will not change!
At the end of the day I can chose to win or chose to lose.
Cain's depression turned into anxiety ending up in a rage of anger that killed his brother.
Then I said, "where does depression come from?" Depression comes from uncertainty, low self esteem, bitterness, physical injury, mental pain, DNA, etc...
My Redeemer said, "what's the answer to overcoming all of this?"I said, "I'm not sure my Lord."
Then He said, "My blood will also cry out from the ground just like Abel's did!"
I said, "but You are the Creator! Why would you allow this?"
He said, "because the whole World has gone the way of Cain but the Father put on me all of the shortcomings and character flaws of man known as sin."
Then I realized I am just like Cain and that I have also fallen short of perfection.
The mark (in Hebrew is a letter) on Cain was to give him what he didn't deserve; Freedom and Protection from his enemy. The mark signifies Mercy and Grace.
Then He said, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God?"
Eph 2:8
Then He said, "nothing can keep you from the Love of God!"
"By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name."
Then He said, "when you have an attitude of Gratitude then anxiety suddenly goes away."
So why was Cain angry?
JUST GO!
