DANIEL180: IF GOD WERE TO ASK ME.... CONFUSION!

As I was reading from the Ancient Scrolls discovered in 1948 in 11 caves in Qumran.

My Redeemer Whispered to Me in my Garden of Confusion, "Why are you Confused and Fearful?

I gave you eight wonderful children and a Woman after My own heart! Do you think I'm going to leave you?

Fear Not my friend in your weakness I will show my strength in you to lead and provide for your Family!!"

Now I realize in the midst of confusion we can lose sight of the real issues of Life.

Then I remembered a story of when the disciples were in their storm of confusion and everyone on the ship began to panic.

"Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping." Matt 8:24

Storms happen Suddenly! When it hits it hits hard and there isn't a lot of time to prepare!

So I asked my Redeemer what to do when the Storm Hits? He said, "what do most people do?"

I said, "some people relieve their panic and anxiety by drinking."

Like Billy Joel's song,
'The Piano Man'

'And the waitress is practicing politics

As the businessmen slowly get stoned

Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness

But it's better than drinking alone.'"

My Redeemer said, "Any other ways?"

So I said, "Others escape confusion by running away!"

I started thinking, "When my ship is in a Storm what should I do?

Do I drink the drink called loneliness? Do I start running and running and running? Do I play the victim?

Do I own the situation?

Do I accept the situation?

Do I take responsibility for the situation?

Do I create a Vision for the crew?

Do I Empower each Family Member so each one feels important?

Then I thought, "but I'm a passenger with no skills on how to navigate through this Storm!

There is no way out!

How did I get myself in this situation?"

Then I thought, "wow it's the same with my Family! Who could prepare for a family with 8 kids? The challenges, decisions, planning emotions are overwhelming!"

I asked myself, "how do I Prepare for this? But then I realized we didn't know we were going to have this big family when Jana and I were united as one.

We just took one step at a time. One challenge at a time. One Victory at a time. One Emotion at a time."

Then I remembered reading in the Scrolls about the Storm the disciples were in while crossing the Sea. They had no way out! All they could do is rely in their Redeemer.

The same is True for my Family: There is no way out!
I must make each member feel so important that they can't get off the ship in a Storm. We must weather the storm together as one Family Unit.

Not one member can just bail out without it affecting everyone else. This is where the Power if Love takes over!

"So they woke up my Redeemer out of His sleep."

What really woke up My Redeemer wasn't the storm. What woke Him up was all the strife, anxiety and fear of His disciples.

My Redeemer got up from His sleep. He went to the side of the boat and said, "Be Still" and the storm subsided!

So was He really talking to the storm or was he talking to His disciples?

After He said, "Be Still" I realized when I am confronted with an overwhelming situation I must remember that my Redeemer is still in control and no hurricane can stop what He wants to do in my life.

When I let anxiety take control of me I must be Still in my mind and know that my Redeemer is in total control.

I must Accept Responsibility and Ownership for the Storms in my life.

I must create a vision for the members on my ship.

I must empower each member with important roles on the ship.

I must make each Team a Member feel so important that the others could not survive without them.

I must remind them of the Great Family Heritage we have and to be proud!

I must remember that we are not here to be second-best we are here to be the best at whatever we do.

If we lose a battle we lose as a Team. When we win the war we also win as a Team!

Finally, I Must Remember what Pastor Chuck said,

"Where God Guides God Provides!"

Now are you Confused and Fearful?

"SO JUST GO!"

Rick
