Have you ever Had Victory over Sin? When you do it is Incredible! There is nothing like conquering the Flesh!

Have you ever said "No?"

Maybe your friends want you to smoke pot or do some recreational drugs.

Can you say "No?"

Maybe you are in a situation where you are being tempted to have sex outside of marriage.

Can you say "No?"

Maybe it is a re-occurring sin in our lives.
Something that keeps tripping us up over and over again.

In John 3 there was a very successful Pastor that came to Jesus at night.

Why did he come at night? Because during the day he was busy?

Probably because he was embarrassed to be seen talking to Jesus in the day time.

Have we ever been embarrassed to be seen with Jesus or His people?

You see Nic had a lot of questions.

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

Nic wanted to know how to get Eternal Life and how to have Victory over sin.

All of us have questions in life.

Why am I Here?

What does the Future hold?

Is there Life after Death?

Did I Evolve or was I Created?

What is my Purpose in Life?

Nic had all of these questions and one more:

"How do I Inherit Eternal Life?"

Jesus came back with a question: "How are you a Pastor of a Large Church and don't know these things?" Jesus wasn't ridiculing him He just wanted Nic to think about it.

Sometimes we are all caught off-guard. We think we know everything we need to know about life but something is missing. We have a deep deep void and emptiness in our lives.

"There must be more!"

"Why do I feel so dull?"

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

Nic was putting on an Act during the day but seeking the right answers to his questions at night. Nic wanted to be the best Pastor he could be so he did everything he could do to better himself.

We are the same way aren't we? We want to be the best at what we do don't we? We know we are doing all we can do but there is "A Little Bit More!"

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

People kept asking Nic how to have Eternal Life? Nic told them what everybody else said, "you have to follow the Law and live a perfect life."

In other words: You always have to give "A Little Bit More!"

Nic and his people were getting discouraged and losing the daily battles. Nic took this to heart because Nic is a Winner. Nic is a Coach and his Team was losing. But more than anything Nic didn't have the Answer when people asked.

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

Nic knew the "Little Bit More" theory wasn't working.

Nic knew if he found the right formula his Team would Win!

HOW CAN I HAVE VICTORY OVER SIN?

What was the Answer Jesus gave?

Jesus said, "You must be Born Again!"

"Nic you are trying hard and I appreciate it but there is more.

Not your "Little Bit More" but Mine!

"Nic there is more that only I can give. You must Transition into a New Dimension and Start Over!"

YOU MUST HAVE A TRANSFORMATION!
"You must nail your old life to the Cross and Start a New Life."

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

The same is True for us. We need to Start Over! The Word say's, "if any man be in Christ he has a new beginning!"

YOU CAN HAVE VICTORY!

Maybe it is your own life. Maybe you are a parent, child, husband, wife and you have given all you can give but it isn't enough.

JESUS HAS WHAT WE CAN'T GIVE!

Jesus said this is how you can start over and be Born Again:

"For God so Loved the World that He Gave Jesus that whoever Believes in Him would not Perish and have Everlasting Life!" John 3:16

God was working behind the Scenes. Joseph's cousins, the Ishmaelites, came along and rescued him by Purchasing him for a Price.

What if Ishmael was never born? God used that situation with Abraham and Hagar to help Joseph later on. God is always working for us behind the scenes.

God has a way of always turning things around in our lives. God is always working things out behind the scenes. When we get to certain areas of our journey the right people and circumstances will connect the dots to make us successful.

Joseph was not put with the normal Slaves he was Purchased by a very successful businessman named Potiphar.

Just like Joseph was purchased by the right people at the right time so were we. We were purchased by Christ when He took our place on the Cross. Now we are Unbound and out of the Pit.

Does that mean we will never have trials and tribulations? No. Joseph still had many more trials and tribulations to overcome.

With each trial Joseph got stronger and stronger until he became the Vice President of Egypt.

The key for Joseph is this: God had to allow him to be in a situation to get him out of his Comfort Zone so he would totally rely on God.

When we are out of our Comfort Zone we have no choice but to rely on God or die a spiritual death of Depression, Worry, Strife ....

Sometimes in Life we don't know why things happen the way they do.

No matter what road we choose God will always connect it with His road in time. We need to keep relying on God day by day. When we start each day in the Word God gives us Supernatural messages to help us Conquer each circumstance we face.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

ALL THE TIME! EVERY TIME!

Here's the Key: Joseph was all but dead in that Pit. He was purchased and pulled out of the Pit. He felt fortunate to be alive and was grateful for his life. Is allegiance is to his owner. In the End Joseph became Vice President!

We were also in a Pit all but dead with no life and no future. Then Jesus Purchased us and pulled us out of a Pit. Our allegiance should be to Him. After all He Purchased us.

Did you know that God has a list of Favorite things also? On the Top of God's list is Hanging Out with His Buddies.

God Created us because He wants to Hang Out with us. God did not create us as robots programmed to Hang Out with Him.

God created us with a Free Will and out of this Free Will we get to choose whether or not we Hang Out with Him.

GOD LOVES OUR FELLOWSHIP OFFERING!
God Honors this Fellowship so much He
considers part of it as a Sacrificial Offering.

When our Free Will Fellowship Offering is offered as a Sacrifice the High Priest burns it at the alter. When it is burnt it becomes a sweet smelling gift to God.

The LORD said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites: 'Anyone who brings a fellowship offering to the LORD is to bring part of it as their sacrifice to the LORD.' "
LEVITICUS 7:28-29

Wow! Part of our Fellowship and Friendships need to be a Sacrifice to God.
What is this telling us?

Friends, I believe God has many messages here.

One message is LOUD and CLEAR:

God Loves and Cherishes those quiet times with us as well as when we gather with other Friends and Believers to have Fellowship with Him.

The Lord loves it when we talk about Him in our normal conversations with people during the day.

This is a Sweet Smelling Aroma to God!

The Bible tells us not to forsake the gathering together with Fellowship. In other words God wants us to gather often to encourage each other and Worship Him. This is Fellowship!

"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matthew 18:20

The enemy loves to throw guilt at us. The enemy tries to make us feel bad. The enemy tries to throw us under the bus.

The Lord told Jacob to go back to Bethel.

God took Jacob back to that place where he first met God.

That was Jacob's Sanctuary.

It was That Place where he was so Burnt - Out running from Reality that he went to sleep on a Rock. He used a Rock for a Pillow. Anything to Escape his Reality.

It was That Place where he saw the Real Stairway to Heaven.

It was That Place where God Promised him and his Descendants a Great Future.
It was That Place where he Found Rest and Peace on the Inside no matter what was going on around him.

What about us? Do we need to go back to Bethel? Do we need a Rock for a Pillow?

The Good News is this:

Jesus Is that Rock and Pillow. Jesus is the Stairway to Heaven.

We don't have to "Buy A Stairway To Heaven." Jesus Bought the Stairway for us and as a bonus gave us an incredible High Tech Pillow to Rest on.

If our Founders came back today they would see a society that went from Freedom and the end of the Cold War to Bondage in three short years under the Current Administration.

They would see a society with 15 Trillion Dollars of uncontrollable debt. 5 Trillion of the 15 Trillion in the last three years.

They would see a Society that went from a Prosperous nation to a Debtor nation.

They would see a Society that borrows 40 percent of every dollar it spends at the national level.

They would see a Society that Worships the Creature rather than the Creator. A Society that would rather believe a Lie then the Truth. Romans 1.

They would see a Society that has Chosen Death instead of Life.

Joshua said,

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" Deut 30:19

Friends, this is what happens when we put our trust in man and not God.

The enemy will try to deceive us into an easier way to accomplish our desires. The enemy does this on one condition: We leave God behind.

There is always a Price to be Paid when we try to take the easy way out. Sometimes it just sneaks up on us and we are tricked.

The Bible says, "My People are Destroyed for their lack of Knowledge." Ignorance is no excuse with God. God expects us to do our Homework when we elect Leaders and make choices of who we hang out with.

In the situation with the Golden Calf the people were easily deceived because they were following Moses not God.

The Conservatives running for President say, "We need Lincoln and Reagan Leadership back to save the USA."

This "Type" of Leadership could be True but the Real answer is:

WE NEED GOD'S LEADERSHIP BACK TO SAVE THE USA.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Are we putting our Trust in God or in a Person? Are we putting our Trust in God or a System?

The Golden Calf Program was a Government Mandated Religion that would bring them back into Bondage both Spiritually and Physically.

WHO DO WE LOOK TO?

This was another Tower of Babel. Throughout history the Tower of Babel happens over and over.

It all began as an "easy solution" but it turned out to be a disaster.

Moses was bringing the Constitution that God gave him to the people. The Enemy was trying to intercept God's Plan for a new society filled with Hope for the Future.

(Up to 50 percent of the US Constitution came from The Bible).

When Moses came down from the Mountain of God he saw a Society that went from Freedom to Bondage again.

Financially - High Taxes
Spiritually. - Ishtar - Molech

WHO DO WE LOOK TO?

If our Founders came back today they would see a society that went from Freedom and the end of the Cold War to Bondage in three short years under the Current Administration.

They would see a society with 15 Trillion Dollars of uncontrollable debt. 5 Trillion of the 15 Trillion in the last three years.

They would see a Society that went from a Prosperous nation to a Debtor nation.

They would see a Society that borrows 40 percent of every dollar it spends at the national level.

They would see a Society that Worships the Creature rather than the Creator. A Society that would rather believe a Lie then the Truth. Romans 1.

They would see a Society that has Chosen Death instead of Life.

WHO DO WE LOOK TO?

Joshua said,

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!" Deut 30:19

Friends, this is what happens when we put our trust in man and not God.

The enemy will try to deceive us into an easier way to accomplish our desires. The enemy does this on one condition: We leave God behind.

There is always a Price to be Paid when we try to take the easy way out. Sometimes it just sneaks up on us and we are tricked.

WHO DO WE LOOK TO?

The Bible says, "My People are Destroyed for their lack of Knowledge." Ignorance is no excuse with God. God expects us to do our Homework when we elect Leaders and make choices of who we hang out with.

In the situation with the Golden Calf the people were easily deceived because they were following Moses not God.

The Conservatives running for President say, "We need Lincoln and Reagan Leadership back to save the USA."

This "Type" of Leadership could be True but the Real answer is:

WE NEED GOD'S LEADERSHIP BACK TO SAVE THE USA.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Are we putting our Trust in God or in a Person? Are we putting our Trust in God or a System?

Are we Executing God's Game plan or sitting on the Sidelines letting the enemy put forth his game plan?

WHO DO WE LOOK TO?

We can serve a Big Government or a Big God! We can have Bondage or Freedom!

Did you know God has given us Incredible Gifts? The Gifts He gives us are designed for us. The Gifts are taylor made for each one of us to use on His Team.

The First Gift He has given us is Life. The Second Gift He has given us is the Opportunity to have the Gift of Eternal Life.

The Other Gifts God gives us are the Gifts in between Life and Eternal Life.

He gives us the Gift of Choice as to whether or not we are going to be "Sold Out and All In."

Here is the story of three people who were given a gift from God. Take note as to how they respond to the Gift.

The Parable of the Bags of Gold

Matt 25:14 "Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money."

NOW'S THE TIME-DON'T LET THIS MOMENT SLIP BY!

The one who had received much was thankful for the opportunity. He took his Gift and began to invest it wisely. He wanted to show his Boss how grateful he was for this Opportunity. He Doubled his bosses money.

The second person did the same thing.

The third person was paranoid and afraid he would lose the Gift. He had no confidence in his ability so he hid the Gift.

The Boss came back and accessed the situation. He Rewarded the first two by giving them more Responsibility and Leadership.

The third person was rebuked by the Boss. The Boss was expecting to at least beat inflation. So by burying his gift he was losing money. The Boss took the Gift and gave it to someone who would Appreciate it and grow it.

The third person made up excuses and listened to former employees about the Boss. The third person got caught up in Fear and Trepidation.

NOW'S THE TIME-DON'T LET THIS MOMENT SLIP BY!

Friends, God has given us a Great Opportunity in these last days to make a Huge Impact with the Gifts He has given us.

Your gift might be Athletics, Intelligence, Art, Music, ect..

Whatever your gift is make the Most of it!
God put you and I here for a Purpose. He wants to get a 100 percent Return on His Investment. Your Gift is part of God's overall Portfolio. When He analyzes His Portfolio He looks to see how His Investments are Performing.

Have you ever felt Invincible? Have you ever felt like you couldn't lose?

"PROSPEROUS TIMES PRODUCE PASSIVITY"

Sometimes in life we have moments when we fool ourselves and think we are better than we actually are. We get complacent and suddenly the bottom falls out. We get hit with a ton of bricks.

WHAT JUST HAPPENNED?

Maybe it's not something outwardly but it's something in our inner soul that makes us feel this way.

"Everything was going so well. I had no problems. Now I'm in the Storm of Life ready to go under."


"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me." King David Psalm 42:7

Even the Greatest King of all time had Storms in his life. David was a Sheppard Boy a Musician a Warrior and a King. He had everything but something was missing in his Inner Soul. He felt Overwhelmed!

In Matthew 19 we see a Rich Young Ruler. This guy thought he had it made. He had anything and everything he could ever want.

WHAT DO I STILL LACK-WHAT'S MISSING?

He had everything here on earth but deep down inside he knew there was more. He had an Emptiness and a Void in his life that money,riches and drugs couldn't fix.

The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept from my youth.[j] What do I still lack?" Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Matt 19:20-22

WHAT DO I STILL LACK-WHAT'S MISSING?

Here was a guy who lacked nothing here on earth but knew he was still missing something. He had a hole in his heart. He went away sad.

Jesus didn't say, "if you want to be Average. If you want to just get by. If you just want to go day by day."

Jesus went for the Prize. He said, "if you want to be Perfect."

In other words, "since you want to be Perfect."

We all want Perfection! We all want to go through life unscathed. But Jesus knew it was impossible.

In fact later Jesus says, "However with God All Things are Possible."

Why was the Rich Young Ruler sad?

Because his possessions owned him. He was a Slave to his Riches, Wealth, Power, Prestige, Good Looks, Fame, Fortune, Drugs ect.. He didn't want to let go of the things that Controlled him.

"He had a Grip on his POSSESSIONS but his POSSESSIONS had a Bigger Grip on him."

Friends, this is true with us as well. In some ways we are all like this Rich Young Ruler.

There are things we are Holding on to with a Tight Grip. These things are keeping us from Reaching our full Potential with God.

It may be a Relationship, Addiction, Drugs, Alcohol, Money, Power, Prestige, ect...

We think these "Things" will Satisfy us but they only Pacify us.

The Rich Young Ruler thought he did enough to get Eternal Life.

"Ya I've done all those things."

"Ya I've been baptized. I go to church every other week or so. ect... "

However, deep down inside we know there is something missing.

WHAT DO I STILL LACK?

Jesus told him to sell everything, get rid of the FALSE SECURITY and FOLLOW ME.

John the Baptist said, "He must increase and I must decrease."

When God increases in our Life we Lack Nothing.

ANSWER: Jesus said, "if any man thirst let him come to me and I will give him living water that will spring forth real life."

WHAT DO I STILL LACK-WHAT'S MISSING?
God told Moses to speak to the Rock at the waters of Meribah (Strife). Moses struck it instead of speaking to it.

Moses was Frustrated so he lashed out! He lost it! Because of this He lost the opportunity to enter the Promise Land.

I don't know about you but I have done this. I have been Frustrated! I have been at Meribah which means Strife.

God said speak to the Rock. Jesus
said, "come to me all you that are in Strife and I will give you Rest for your Soul!"

THE PROMISE LAND

"Run after God and He will Enlarge my Heart."

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."

Have you ever felt like all of your options have run out? Have you ever been dismayed with nowhere to turn?

The Pharaoh is an example of the Satan and Egypt is an example of Bondage.
All of us have been stuck in Egypt one time or another in our life.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

Here we see the Nation of Israel leaving Egypt. They were leaving the Bondage of Slavery, Whipping and Abuse. They were leaving the misery of an unfair situation they did not create.

When we make a Decision to Leave our Past we need the Decision to be FINAL. I'm Not going back! I'm not even looking back!

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

Earlier Pharaoh told Moses, "you can go but you have to leave your Livestock and part of your Wealth behind. After all it's only fair you can't just abandon us."

He wanted Moses to Compromise.

Moses told the Pharaoh No Way! He said, "It's All or Nothing!"

I'm sure some of the Leaders in Israel were not happy with Moses. Moses knew when the times got tough the people would make excuses and go back.

Initially Pharaoh would not let the people go after Moses told him All or Nothing.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

This is how our life should be. We NEED to be DETERMINED that we are not going to back to the Bondage of Sin and Addiction.

When we make the Decision to be All In we get Focused and that gives us a Purpose.

Now they are getting Answers. Finally they have a Leader with a Game Plan for the Future.

This was a Great Day because Depression and Oppression turns to Optimism.

HOWEVER THE BATTLE ISN'T OVER!

Just like the King of Egypt pursued the Israelites Satan pursues us. Satan wants to bring us back into Bondage, Slavery and Oppression. Satan wants to bring Misery and Pain.

Satan and his Demons freak out because they have lost control of our lives.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

When Israel saw the Egyptians coming they started second guessing themselves about their decision to leave Egypt and Slavery.

The People in Pain and Misery were feeling disappointed once again. They lost Hope.

SATAN ALWAYS TRIES TO GET US TO SECOND GUESS OURSELVES!

We do the same thing don't we? This happens when we do something different or make a Big Change in our life.

People were saying, "now we are up against the Red Sea with nowhere to go. The Egyptians are pinning us against the Water. We are Doomed! Why did we listen to Moses?"

Moses said,

"BE STILL AND SEE THE DELIVERANCE OF THE LORD!"

When we are faced with a similar situation with nowhere to go we also get flustered. We say, "why did I sign up for this?"

We feel boxed in. We second guess ourselves. We start saying, "if I only coulda, shoulda, woulda"

As each second passes the Intensity gets higher and higher. We get more and more Stressed. We Scream on the inside:

Why????????

NOW WATCH WHAT GOD DOES!

"Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left." Exodus 14:21-22

God answered and showed everyone His Greatness.

Fearful situations often happen at night.
At night it is dark and lonely. Night time is a time when the enemy tries to confuse us and get us depressed.

The Day is Approaching! Hope is Approaching!

MOSES STRETCHED OUT HIS HAND OVER THE SEA.

JESUS STRETCHED OUT HIS HANDS ON THE CROSS.

The Day is Here! Hope is Now! The Future is Bright!

When we are Fearful we need to ask God to Stretch out our hand over the Water.

The Red Sea or the Water is the Word of God. When we Stretch our hands over the Word of God and open it our Problems and Enemies are divided.

The Holy Spirit begins to work in our life.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

Our Future opens up just like the Red Sea did. Just like God blew a wind from the East God The Holy Spirit Prepares the Way for us.

The Water of God's Word Builds a Wall on our Right and Left to protect us from the enemies that cause us Worry and Stress.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

Friends, "The Word of God is Sharper than any two edged sword. It is able to divide the Right from the Wrong - Positive from Negative - Optimism from Oppression ect... " Hebrews 4:12-13

The Word of God cuts out all the Fear that Freezes us up from Pursuing our Goals.

LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND - I'M ALL IN!

When the Red Sea closed all the enemies drowned. Israel was now on the way to the Land of Promise.

When we close the Word of God after our morning Devotion our enemies are also trapped. The enemy drowns: Slavery, Bondage, Addiction, Negativity, Depression and Bitterness.

We get to move on to the Promise Land!
BE STILL AND SEE THE DELIVERANCE OF THE LORD!
