Have you ever felt like you were at the end of your rope?
Do you ever feel hopeless?
This was David in Psalm 70. This is a Psalm he wrote to relieve the Pressure and the Stress in his Life.
"What a great gift from God! We have the opportunity to write and play music Searching for God."
When we do this look what God gives us.
GREAT LEADERS SEARCH FOR GOD!
"But may all who search for you
be filled with joy and gladness in you.
May those who love your salvation
repeatedly shout, "God is great! But as for me, I am poor and needy;
please hurry to my aid, O God.
You are my helper and my savior;
O Lord, do not delay." Prov 70:4-5
David knew the answer to all his problems. He said when we Search for God we get filled with a Joy and Gladness.
GREAT LEADERS SEARCH FOR GOD!
These people are so fired up and excited about what God is doing in their lives they shout, "God is Great!"
He is basically contrasting his poor neediness to God's Greatness.
David realized at an early age that he needed the Lord to guide and direct his life.
Paul said it is when we are weak that God is Strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Did you hear that? I'm actually stronger when I'm weak?
The Word says in John1, "He must increase and I must decrease."
GREAT LEADERS SEARCH FOR GOD!
Friends, at some point in our life we will feel like we are at the end of our rope. We will feel like we can't hold on any longer.
David was at this point in his life. He says when we search for the Lord we get filled with Joy and Gladness.
Proverbs 17:22 says, "a cheerful heart is good medicine."
When we search for the Creator of the Universe He will respond with Peace, Joy and Gladness. The next thing He does is give us a great Attitude to Endure.
