Fw: Leaders Partner with Winners

Team:

Today in the One Year Bible (Playbook) we find David taking over the Leadership of Israel. 1 CHRONICLES 11:1-12:18

David surrounded himself with Great People. As a Leader he delegated Leadership positions to key people.

Joab was the first to step forward and he became the Commander-in-Chief. Joab and David built up the inner city and the outer city. They went out and recruited the top soldiers in the land.

David's Team had Three Captains, and 30 more Soldiers. These men were known as David's Mighty Men.

Leaders have Strategic Partners. Leaders surround themselves with Winners. Leaders partner with people that have the same Purpose and Goals for the Future.

Fw: Leaders are Forgiven and Forgive

Team:

Friends, God wants to Touch you today with Forgiveness. Have you ever been Forgiven? Do you really believe you are Forgiven?

When we are Forgiven we get Freedom and Power to move on to the next Play. The Same is True when we Forgive Someone else.

Here Coach MacIntosh talks about letting ourselves be Forgiven. Let's face it all of us have made mistakes. The Bible says all of us have all sinned and Fallen Short of God's Glory.

Sometimes we dwell on the past so much we handcuff ourselves from moving on and being Forgiven. We get frozen with the "if only I woulda, coulda, shoulda's. What if God is mad at me? I am so unworthy!

Friends that is the enemy "piling on" like in a football game. The enemy is taking cheap shots at us.

We think thoughts like, this must be why this happened or that happened. Good or bad this type of system fails because we all make mistakes.

God doesn't play games of Negotiation. "You did this so I'm going to do that."

God is not on a system of pluses and minuses. God is simply all about Grace. Grace is getting something I don't deserve.

In Romans 2:4 the Bible says, "it is the goodness of God that leads us to Changing our ways."

God has Great Plans for us but we must receive His Forgiveness to be Free of the Bondage of the Guilt and Condemnation. The enemy wants us to be stuck in Limbo with no way out.

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18

Receive His Forgiveness Today.

"Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a Double Portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours"(Isaiah 61:7, NIV)

To Receive Forgiveness we also have to admit we were wrong. Sometimes that is hard. We can admit we are wrong when it comes to God but what about when it is with our family, spouse, kids, co-workers ect..?

A Great Leader will Receive Forgiveness and in turn will Forgive others for the Overall Good of the Organization.

Initiate - Take Action

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

A little boy was playing outside in the dirt when it began to lightly rain. His mother called him in for supper, and when she saw him covered with mud, she was very upset. "Upstairs, young man! You get into the bathtub and get clean right now!" The family was seated a few minutes later, waiting for junior to come to the table. Finally, the mother went up to the bathroom to find a shiny clean boy standing next to a bathtub full of mud and dirt. What a mess. The mother said, "What are you doing, son?" "Oh hi, Mom! I'm just standing here remembering how dirty I was."

That's how it is sometimes with us. We would rather stand still and remember our past than walk forward with God by faith. But that will never bring healing to our souls; in fact, it will always have the opposite effect.

Repeatedly, the Bible tells us that we must live by God's standards -- not our own standards or "politically correct" standards. Though you may struggle with confessing what you have done, it is usually much harder to repent, because if a person repents of his or her sins, then he or she must turn away from those sins.

Let me say this: If you want to feel the loving touch of God, then confess your sins and repent from them. God is pleased when we acknowledge what He already knows. He is a holy God, and sin separates us from Him. But James tells us to "draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8).

Today, look forward to what God will do! If you are hurting because of some kind of sin in your life, confession and repentance will help to dress your wound so that the healing process can begin. Don't let sin keep you from all that God has for you today.

Fw: Leaders are Faithful

Team:

Leaders have a responsibility to be Faithful first to God and His Playbook and then to their Team.

Jesus said to Love (be faithful) to God first and Love your neighbor as yourself.

King Saul said he loved God and was faithful to God but as the saying goes, "actions speak louder than words."

"Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the Word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse." 2 Chronicles 10:13-14

Leaders do the opposite of what King Saul did:

Leaders are Faithful.

Leaders stick to the Playbook.

Leaders Inquire of God not sorcery, witchcraft, white magic, wizards, fortune tellers, mediums, wicca, ect....

(any substance that is mind altering: Pot, Drugs ect... opens the door to the enemy and witchcraft, white magic ect..)
Gal 5:19-21

Leaders are Faithful to their Team. In the end Saul died and was overtaken by the Philistines. Saul lost his Son, his Family, his Career and his Kingdom.

As Leaders of our Teams, Families and Organizations we need to listen up to what God is telling us here. When we drift away our Kingdom and those we love are in Jeopardy.

Joshua said, "as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."

Leaders are Faithful above to God and His Word and to those they Influence.

Fw: Leaders Know The Playbook

Team:

"Guess What Happened Today?"

That was the News going around Jerusalem.

"Hilkiah found the Playbook."

Hilkiah the High Priest told Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the Temple of the Lord." 2 Kings 22:8.

Have you ever lost something and didn't realize how important it was?

Josiah knew his team was better than they were performing. He couldn't figure out what was missing. Until now.

Friends, sometimes in life we feel that something is missing. We feel empty, lonely, guilty and paranoid about the future and we just can't figure out why.

When Josiah heard the news about finding the play book he realized what was missing.

Josiah was excited because now he had a game plan for his team. Before this Israel had no vision and no game plan. They were just making it up as they went. They were "winging it."

Now they have a Game Plan.

When we have a game plan we have a foundation to build on. When we have a game plan we have a Clear Vision and Purpose in Life.

The Bible says, without a Vision (game Plan) my people will perish.

To have a Clear Vision sometimes we need to Clean Out the Temple. This is what Josiah did. The Temple is our Life. Paul tells us in the New Testament our bodies are the Temple of the Lord. In other words God lives in us.

After we clean out the Temple the Bible tells us to hide God's Word in our Heart. Psalms tells us, His Word is a Lamp unto our Feet and a Light to our Path.

Hilkiah is like the Holy Spirit. He finds the Word hidden somewhere deep in our Life and Reveals our need for Christ.

Shaphan like Jesus gives us the Good News. Josiah is Like us. He was so excited about this New Found Playbook that he Responded and Took Action. 2 Kings 22-23

To Execute the Game Plan and Utilize all the Potential God has given us we need to use The Playbook daily in our lives.

The Playbook has all the Answers for the Game of Life.

Leaders know the Playbook and Create a Game Plan to Execute Winning Strategies using the Playbook.

What if God made it Right?

Team:

That is Right! What if God Turned every mistake we made into a Positive situation?

What if God could Turn everything in our Favor?

We have been talking about the What Ifs, If Only I.. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda's. Now it is time to put it all together.

Romans 8:28

God is going to build David a House. David wanted to build God a House and was willing to give everything he had for the project.

God was very happy with David's heart but God had other plans. God wanted to build David a House.

Friends, sometimes we humans just don't have enough so God steps in and says, "thank you for your sincere heart now I am going to do for you something so incredible that only I can do."

God is fired up about our enthusiasm so he is going to do something "exceedingly beyond anything we could do." Eph 3:20 On Top of that He is going to let us have the credit through Him.

"Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours"(Isaiah 61:7, NIV)

Friends, God wants to make it Right. We may have messed up things for ourselves and a lot of people but God can Turn Everything in a New Direction and make it Right.

God wants to Make it Right. Let's let Him do His Magic.

Just Go! Win the Day!

Fw: If Only I..Woulda Coulda Shoulda

Team:

Have you ever thought, "if only I had done this or that?"

Sometimes there is a recorder in our mind saying, "if only I, if only I, if only I....." Over and over and over. It keeps us awake at night, freezes us up and we become paralyzed with fear.

Sometimes we beat ourselves up mentally for past mistakes and embarrassment?

The enemy always tries to get us to second guess ourselves.

"If only I...Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda"

It is called Regret. When we Regret something we have done recently or in the past we get frozen with the What If's, if only I.., and Paranoia.

We are not alone. One of the Greatest Leaders of all time was Paul the Apostle. He had a Game Changing Experience with God on the road to Damascus. He went from Hate and Regret to Love.

Did you know Paul struggled with depression, paranoia, and regret. His mind raced over and over with thoughts of regret and "If Only I...".

Then Paul had a Breakthrough Technology!

Friends, I have some Great news for us! Paul found the Answer and he wrote it down in the Book of Romans.

"This is Breakthrough Technology!"

His Problem:
Paul said, "Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?" Romans 7:24

Paul said, "I am miserable. I need deliverance. Who can deliver me?"

His Solution:
Then Paul wrote, "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1

Wow! If I belong to Christ I can Turn Off regrets and the "If Only I...woulda, coulda, shoulda's?"

I don't have to be condemned by myself and the enemy any longer.

The Bible tells us, If any man be in Christ He is a New Creation. The Past is gone!

Friends, God wants us to be free of regrets and the "if only I...." God wants us to live a life of Victory starting Now!

Why? Because God needs us to make some Big Plays in the Game. That is why He Recruited us. He wants us to feel Invincible. Because with Him we are Invincible. Phil 4:13

Own Romans 8:1 Read it out loud every morning when you get up.

"There is no pillow so soft as a clear conscience." Anonymous

Let's Pray, Believe and Ask God to Clear our mind and get back in the Game!

Remember:

"Every Play is the last play of the game. I have to make a Play Now!"

Moses tried to escape

Team:

Moses was a great leader and had great influence. Friends, did you know that Moses tried to escape his calling?

God had a Big Plan for Moses and Moses kept making excuses:

"I don't talk very well. I'm not up to it.
Find someone else!" Exodus 4:13

God said, "who made the Mouth?" God didn't say, "come on Moses you have to believe in yourself."

The same is true for us. Whatever our ailment is (and we all have something) God made us this way for a purpose.

The Word says he made us the way we are so "in my weakness God is Made Strong!"

Moses knew God was right but there was a gap between knowing the right thing to do and doing it.

There are two mountains in Moses's mind:

Mt. Abstract and Mt. Reality.

There is also a Valley called Indecision between them.

Mt. Abstract is the concept and origin of a plan or idea.

Mt. Reality is the final destination and realization of our Goal.

We must cross the Valley to get to Mt. Reality.

Moses was in the Valley of Indecision. Moses was trying to Escape and not go to Mt. Reality. By being in the Valley he could hide out.

There was one problem: He couldn't hide from God or the elements in the Valley.

The Valley of Indecision and Escape is a horrible place to be. It is also called Limbo. There is a jungle, quicksand, lions snakes, insects, crocodiles ect...

In Moses's mind he was stuck in this Valley of Indecision which is a very dangerous place and tough to get out of.

Moses became depressed, anxious and insecure.

When we try to escape decisions we land in this Valley.

Maybe Moses was afraid to face his past again. Maybe his Egyptian brother intimidated him. The Bible says, "the fear of man is a snare."

Whatever the reason Moses was making excuse after excuse until finally in Exodus 4:13 he tells God to find someone else.

This happens to us also. We know what should be done (Mt. Abstract) but we find reasons why we can't do it.

Just like Moses, God has a Huge Project for us to accomplish here on earth before we get to the Promise Land. God wants us to Conquer Mt. Reality.
Jer 29:11

Moses knew what was conceptually (Mt. Abstract) the right thing to do (which was lead millions of people out of slavery) however Moses was stuck and couldn't cross over to Mt. Reality.

Have you ever felt like that. Like your mind is racing in a circle and there is know way to break the cycle? We all go through that especially when we are in our teens and early twenty's.

The end result could be tragic. Some check out and quit on life and become very depressed. Some escape into Drugs and alcohol. And some end up taking their own life.

It is very important to recognize this in our own lives and deal with it now. The Valley of Indecision is miserable.

Friends, I have great news! The Bible is filled with Great Leaders who at one time dealt with these challenges and tried to Escape. They all overcame though and became Great Leaders with Huge Influence for future generations.

Peter, Jacob, Esther, Mark, Zacheus, Jonah ect...

It is very interesting that God uses these insecure people who tried to escape to do His Work. Maybe it is because when they did succeed and we read about it we would have more hope for our own future. If they could make it we can too.

The Bible says that God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.

The other reason God uses these type of insecure and indecisive people is because when they do succeed they will give all the Credit to God. They know where they came from.

In the beginning Moses tried to escape and wound up in the Valley of Indecision. In the end Moses Finished Strong and led the people to the Promise Land.

Somewhere in the Valley God found Moses. As you see Moses's career grow you see God giving him one Victory at a time to build his confidence.

Moses in the end was buried by God. But the Story doesn't end. When Jesus is Transfigured in the New Testament Moses and Elijah also show up.

Where do you think all of this happened? That's Right!! Mt. Reality. It was Real!

Moses Won and made it to Mt. Reality.

So the last time we see Moses he is in a Brand New body with Perfect Eloquent Speech on Mt. Reality.

Friends whatever your perceived ailment is God will perfect it in time. Moses gives us all Hope.

The Bible says, "now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely." I cor 13:12
