Did you know the First thing God did for Adam was find him a partner? God knew that Adam's wife Eve would complete him and together they would accomplish great things with their new family.

ARE WE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK?

What does the future hold? We are coming to the end of the Bible which is our Playbook.

66 books by 40 authors from all over the world with one single message. The message of Good News.

The Bible has every answer to life's questions: Loneliness, Emptiness, Guilt and Afraid to die.

The Bible also answers the questions about the future. Over 100 predictions of
of the first coming of Jesus Christ and what He would accomplish. (Isaiah 9:6 Isaiah 52,53 Micah 5:2, Zech 9:6 Isaiah 7:14 ect...)

According to experts in Probability and Statistics there is no way anyone could predict these things unless they were in connection with a Divine Being from another dimension.

There are over 500 predictions of His second coming and the end of the World. Almost all of the 100's of predictions have happened (Ezekial 36,37 Israel in 1948).

The Bible also has Medical Science. How did Moses know the life in the flesh was in the blood? Lev 17:11

As you know the red blood cells carry the oxygen that keeps the flesh and muscles alive.

Did Moses have a Microscope? How did he know this medical science 5000 years ago yet we didn't find this out until 1921 with the American Medical Association

I only say this because of the verse you are about to read in Rev 20. God has always been right and He will be right again. We need to listen up!

God has given us the playbook for life. There is no other playbook with all of these answers.

In the end it is all about the scoreboard. Did we Win?

Did we take advantage of our resources? Did we accept God's Plan for Salvation now and in the future?

In the beginning of the Playbook we sinned and fell away from God. We are now separated from God for eternity because of sin.

BUT GOD HAD A PLAN!

In the middle of the Playbook God sends His only Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins so we can live eternally with Him.
Then at the end of time and the Playbook God opens up His Book of Life to reveal who is written in it.

ARE WE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK?

Now Please listen up:

"The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.

Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire."
Rev 20:13-15

Friends, God did everything possible to give us the opportunity to Win and be written in His Bookof Life. We either accepted His gift or rejected it.

ARE WE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK?

I remember when I was in my final semester at Long Beach State University.
I went to my counselors office weekly to make sure I was on track to graduate and enter the Business World at Xerox Corporation.

Why? I wanted to be sure I was in that graduation line and starting my career soon after. If I wasn't I would have to make some quick changes.

In the same way we need to ask God if we are on the right path. If we are not we need to make some quick changes to "graduate." Time is short. The end of time is coming.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVEN!

Be Still and Listen

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting."
Acts 2:1-2

Imagine, they were all sitting in the house at Pentecost, and they did not know what was going to happen. Look at Acts 1:4-8. Jesus was speaking to them, and He promised the Holy Spirit would come upon them, and He would empower them to go out and preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Notice, He did not tell them how or when it would happen. They were just as surprised as the people who witnessed the divided tongues of fire. Look at their faith. Even though they had no idea how the Holy Spirit would come or when, still they waited, all of the same mind in the same agreement.

When the room was filled with the rushing wind, no one panicked; no one went running from the room. There was order as they were sitting. While they were waiting, they were not dancing around or playing. Why?

They were showing respect, sitting as a symbol of order, of meditating, of waiting upon the Lord and being still in the presence of the Lord.

Today, I think people have a hard time waiting upon the Lord. We pray, we ask God for our petitions, and then we say, "Okay, Lord, I am ready; do it now."
It is not enough to pray; we have to take time to listen.

God wants to speak to us. We just have to stop, be still and listen.

All the Power We Need by Greg Laurie 

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. —2 Peter 1:3

Human history has been all about power: using it, and sometimes exploiting it. First there was manpower. Then there was steam power. Now we have nuclear power. But what we seem to lack is willpower. Human beings are able to harness the powers of the universe, but we can't seem to control ourselves.

But the good news is that we serve a mighty God who will give us all the power we need to live the Christian life.

Some people may say it is kind of difficult to be a Christian. But I would disagree. I don't think it is difficult to be a Christian; I think it is impossible—without the help and the power of the Holy Spirit, that is.

It has been said that conversion has made our hearts a battlefield. The moment we put our faith in Jesus, we enter into a spiritual battle. We have an adversary, an opponent, an enemy known as the devil. And Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places."

Once a high-ranking angel in heaven, Lucifer, or Satan, rebelled against God. In that rebellion, he took one-third of the angels with him. Those fallen angels are what we know as demons.

The purpose of demons seems to be twofold: to hinder the purpose of God and extend the power of Satan. But we serve a God who has all power.

Psalm 62:11 tells us that power belongs to God. And Jesus said He heaven and on earth" (Matthew 28:18). All the power we need to live the Christian life is available to us through Jesus Christ.

GREAT LEADERS RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Do you ever ask yourself what does God want me to do with my life?

The future is so vast and big which direction should I go?

Do you ever get trapped in a whirlwind of doubt with little or no faith?

Have you heard he Southwest Airline commercial "Want to get away?"

Sometimes in life we want to escape don't we?

DON'T ESCAPE JUST EMBRACE!

Did you know that some of the greatest heroes in the Bible also wanted to "get away" and escape? These heroes started out with little or no faith before they accomplished Great things for God?

What was the answer?

GREAT LEADERS RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT!

The Heroes of the Bible were no different than us.

Zerubbabel was worried about the future. He had doubts and concerns. He was frankly "wiped out" with no strength. It was very hard for him to get out of bed in the morning.

Maybe Zerubbabel said, "How I Escape?" What drug can I take to make it all go away?

Sometimes life is so confusing with mental pain we want to "get away."

DON'T ESCAPE JUST EMBRACE!

GREAT LEADERS RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT!

One thing Zerubbabel had was a great Spiritual Foundation that was ready to be resurrected. From an early age his mother would read stories of the Word of God to him. Then she would pray for him and his future.

While Zerubbabel was in his moment of despair God asked him a question:

He answered, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I replied. So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:

'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. "What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!'"

Friends, God is also asking us a question: "Do you know what these are?"

Sometimes God will give us a Vision and it will seem confusing. Zerubbabel's Vision was of oil being pumped into some pipes.

What's that?

The Oil is the Holy Spirit being Pumped into our lives to give us Power to Accomplish Great things for God.

DON'T ESCAPE JUST EMBRACE!

GREAT LEADERS RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Have we tapped into the Power of the Holy Spirit in our own lives? When we do the Mountains and Obstacles will be leveled to the Ground.

Just like Zerubbabel would finish his Purpose here on earth God will give us the Power of the Holy Spirit to Continue to Finish our Purpose.

You don't need to worry if you have the Holy Spirit. Every day and in every situation, you can trust in the Holy Spirit to speak through you.

Isn't that a comfort?

Jesus obviously isn't saying here that a preacher or teacher shouldn't be prepared for a message; the leading of the Holy Spirit is not a license for laziness. Notice that the context is about when someone is arrested for being a follower of Jesus Christ. In other words, when trials come our way as Christians, we don't need to worry. Why? Because God is with us! His Holy Spirit will be our comfort and our guide in those tight spots. And what a place to be when things are not going well.

So often we want our lives to be "figured out." We want our days to be organized, so we devise timelines and schedules for ourselves, and if we don't adhere to them, we get worried, uptight, and fidgety. But God doesn't operate according to our schedules. We need to start seeing life with His eyesight and perspective.

That's what the Holy Spirit does; He gives us wisdom and discernment to see and to hear what God's desires are.

Sure, we can be organized, but we cannot let our well-crafted plans run our lives; we cannot let our "organization" become a god to us. Let the Holy Spirit lead you; let Him move freely in you.

Today I want to encourage you to let the Holy Spirit start moving through you. The end of the age is near and things continue to happen at an alarming rate.

You who love the Lord with all of your heart, let Him unleash the Word of God through you; the world desperately needs it. Let Him bless you by blessing other people through you.

Be flexible. (Loosen up a little bit, even.) Take Him at his word and let Him use you to bless people. The Holy Spirit is going to use you. He wants to speak through you, so give Him the opportunity.

Here Habakkuk was feeling the same way as we do at times.

The Lord tells Habakkuk:

"Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." Habakkuk 1:5

You might be going through a very tough time right now but just remember the Lord is working behind the scenes on your behalf.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has a future and a plan for our lives.

Habakkuk also tells us "The just shall live by Faith."

"Faith is the Substance of things Hoped for and the Evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1

GREAT LEADERS TRUST GOD!

Friends, God is working in the future right now to set you up in a position of Victory!

The enemy wants to knock us down and put us down during our trials. This is why we need to put on the full armor of God found in Eph 6. This is our Spiritual Uniform.

When we keep the Faith and keep on course we will be Victorious!!! God has already put the pieces together to help us in our path to Victory!

When we look back in a year or two or five we will understand why things happened the way they did. We will thank God for getting us through that hard time and preparing our future!!

GREAT LEADERS TRUST IN THE ETERNAL!

What do we put our trust in? The writer of Psalm 131 started out with the proper perspective.

He was humble and realized there is only one hope in all eternity.

He realized that everything else we put our trust in will eventually let us down.

GREAT LEADERS TRUST IN THE ETERNAL!

The writer also says he is content. In other words at perfect peace knowing God is in control of everything.

"Israel, put your hope in the LORD
both now and forevermore."
Psalm 131:3

GREAT LEADERS TRUST IN THE ETERNAL!

Friends, the things we put our trust in here on earth will fade away. The only thing that lasts is what we do for God.

The Word says, "those that labor labor in vain unless God builds the house."

In other words it may satisfy short term but in the long run it will all be in vain.

GREAT LEADERS TRUST IN THE ETERNAL!

On 4th of July we see the exciting display of fireworks. After the 20 min show and many dollars later it is gone for another year. However the billions of stars in the last forever and ever and ever....

The world and all of its temporary excitement are the fireworks.

It all starts with being humble before the creator of the Universe. This is our foundation then God builds us up from there.

What does it mean to be Prepared? In sports it means to study our opponent and prepare our strengths against the opponents weaknesses.

What happens when we are not prepared?

GREAT LEADERS ARE PREPARED!

In Amos God was telling His people to be prepared to meet Him. In other words He was saying you better be prepared because I'm going to bring judgement.

Amos was letting the people know that they have become the enemy of God.

"Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God."
Amos 4:12

GREAT LEADERS ARE PREPARED!

Friends, it is the same for us. In Amos God talks about all of the times He bailed Israel out of bad situations and led them to Victory. Now the leaders are oppressing the innocent and under privileged.

God has also bailed us out of situations. Sometimes we forget how bad it was before we knew God.

We need to be prepared to meet God!

When we have this fear and respect for God we will make the right decisions.

Did you know that God chose us to be on His Team? When we accepted the invitation we agreed to walk with Him.

GREAT LEADERS SEEK DIRECTION!

What an Honor it is to be Chosen by the Creator of the Universe. God has great plans for us but we have a responsibility.

GREAT LEADERS SEEK DIRECTION!

Sometimes in life we need to step back and reflect on our performance. We also need to remember where we came from and how fortunate we are to have the opportunities that we have.

GREAT LEADERS SEEK DIRECTION!

"You only have I chosen
of all the families of the earth;
therefore I will punish you
for all your sins." Do two walk together
unless they have agreed to do so?
Amos 3:3-4

What is so incredible about this is that God chose to punish His own Son for our sins.

GREAT LEADERS SEEK DIRECTION!

So the question remains. How can two walk together unless they have agreed to do so? In other words, if we are not on the same path we are going it alone without God.

In Psalm 25:4-5 the writer asks God to show him the path.

"Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. 5⁠ Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you."

Do you need direction today?

Ask the Lord an He will show you the right path. The path that you and God are on together and in agreement.

Fw: GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Team:

Have you ever had to confront someone with the truth. It is very tough. Here Daniel had to give a message from God to Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar had a short temper and might have ordered Daniel to be killed.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Sometimes it's hard to give a friend advise.

In today's passage God gave the King a year to repent and turn 180 degrees from his pride and arrogance. But Nebuchadnezzar did not repent and God stripped his kingdom away from him. He had to flee to the wilderness where he became insane or a beast.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Nebuchadnezzar tried to replace God and wanted everyone to worship him instead of God.

If we try to replace God we become a beast to everyone around us. As a father am I putting God first in my family or am I a beast that comes home every night trying to find fault?

There are a lot of situations in Leadership where we can let it go to our heads.

"God resists the Proud and gives grace to the Humble." Prov 3:34

I really don't want God to resist me.

Don't worry! Our ACTION doesn't have to be some big thing. Our ACTION can start by getting up early and giving God your first 10 minutes with prayer and reading every day. We need to Commit to this by planning accordingly.

God will take it from there and give us the desire to Accomplish more through our COMMITED ACTION every day.

What if someone predicted that God would come in exactly 483 years 9 months and 21 days? What if that prediction was 483 years and 9 months ago? In other words in 21 days God will be here.

GREAT LEADERS TRUST GOD's WORD!

That is what God told Daniel about the Messiah. He predicted the exact date the Messiah would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey and be presented as King.

"From the going forth of the command to rebuild and restore Jerusalem it will be 483 years 9 months and 21 days."

At that time they used the Babylon calendar not the current calendar we have today.

In Nehemiah chapter two King Artaxerxes I commanded to rebuild and restore Jerusalem.

(He was the sixth king of kings of the Achaemenid Empire from 465 BCE to 424 BCE. He was the son of Xerxes I of Persia and Amestris, daughter of Otanes. Artaxerxes)

Daniel 9:25 "Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven[e] will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One[f]—comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses,[g] despite the perilous times."

 26 "After this period of sixty-two sets of seven,[h] the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end."

Proclamation to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. March 14, 445 BC Nehemiah 2

The Anointed One would be presented as King. April 6, 32 AD

The Anointed One would be killed.

From March 14, 445 BC to April 6, 32 AD is exactly 483 years 9 months and 21 days.

What happened on April 6, 32 AD?

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday. Jesus was presented as King.

"Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
   Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
   righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
   on a colt, the foal of a donkey."
Zech 9:2

Four days later Jesus was executed on Passover. Three days after that Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death.

This is amazing! There is no doubt Jesus is who He said He was. Emanuel or God with us.

Only God can predict the future with this accuracy.

Jesus said, "I tell you these things before they happen so when they do happen you will believe."

No other Playbook has ever predicted the future yet the the Bible has done it with 100 percent accuracy 100's of times.

Friends, you can Trust the God of the Universe with everything and situation you are going through. He loved us enough to be Betrayed and Executed so we could have our sins and mistakes forgiven.

Whatever you may be going through God has it under His control and will cause all things to work out. Romans 8:28

In Daniel 8, Daniel saw a vision of the future. Daniel was a man of prayer and walked with God daily. At times God would clue in Daniel about the future. These visions were very intense.

Daniel was mentally and physically burnt out. He was exhausted. He was drained.

GREAT LEADERS ARE DETERMINED!

Have you ever been set up for an ambush? Today in the One Year Playbook we see how Daniel responds to this conspiracy.

GREAT LEADERS ARE DETERMINED!

"So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: "Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human being except to you, Your Majesty, would be thrown into the lions' den?" Daniel 6:12

Daniel was a leftover from the previous kingdom he found favor with the new leaders. The enemy wanted to get rid of Daniel so they found a way to trip him up.

Daniel Prayed three times a day to the God. The enemy knew this and convinced the king to make it against the law to pray.

GREAT LEADERS ARE DETERMINED!

Daniel was thrown in with the Den of lions. Darius knew he was tricked but had to go with it. Darius was very upset and probably had a sleepless night. However, the next day Darius went to the Lions Den and found Daniel alive and hanging out with the Lions.

Friends, the word says, "Greater is He that is in you then he that is in the world."

Daniel was not going to compromise out of fear. Daniel was determined to keep his faith no matter what.

Determination is the key here. God wants us to be Determined to win no matter what.

GREAT LEADERS ARE CONSISTENT!

Belshazzar was the son of Nabonidus. Belshazzar was getting very arrogant in today's One Year Playbook. In Daniel Chapter 5 Belshazzar felt like he was above the rules. He was saying "those rules don't apply to me."

There was a party going on and everyone was drunk and waisted. The leaders of Babylon were getting drunk and complacent.

They left the gates to the city open and the enemy came in and destroyed Babylon that very night.

GREAT LEADERS ARE CONSISTENT!

They let their guard down and the enemy came in like a whirlwind and destroyed Babylon.

Daniel's role was to be consistent.

Friends, our role is to also be consistent. As the country was in a crises the people needed a leader that was consistent. Today more then ever fathers, mothers, coaches, teachers, pastors ect.. need to be consistent.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Team:

Have you ever had to confront someone with the truth. It is very tough. Here Daniel had to give a message from God to Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar had a short temper and might have ordered Daniel to be killed.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Sometimes it's hard to give a friend advise.

In today's passage God gave the King a year to repent and turn 180 degrees from his pride and arrogance. But Nebuchadnezzar did not repent and God stripped his kingdom away from him. He had to flee to the wilderness where he became insane or a beast.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HUMBLE!

Nebuchadnezzar tried to replace God and wanted everyone to worship him instead of God.

GREAT LEADERS LIVE WITH PURPOSE!

Have you ever felt cheated or that you have been treated unfairly?

Here in Daniel we see Daniel leading his circle of friends from within. Daniel could have been bitter and angry after him and his buddies were kidnapped and taken far away to Babylon.

GREAT LEADERS LIVE WITH PURPOSE!

Daniel decided to take the high road and be positive no matter what. He was determined not to compromise his beliefs.

Daniel's friends fed off of Daniel's Leadership. Daniel chose to be positive and in turn his friends were positive.

This Positive Leadership granted him and his buddies favor in this new land 100's of miles away from their home.

GREAT LEADERS LIVE WITH PURPOSE!

⁠"But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king's choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself."

Notice how respectful Daniel was. He could have copped an attitude but he did not. Daniel was very close to God and was confident that God would make everything turn out right in his favor.

It goes on to say that Daniel found favor with the leaders.

Friends, it is so hard to be respectful when we have been treated unfairly. Daniel chose to give the situation to God and make the best of it without compromising his beliefs.

Daniel knew the scriptures and read them daily. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way."(Psalm 37:23, KJV)

It is difficult to let things go and not get bitter and angry.

Hebrews 12:15, "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled."

Bitterness causes us to do things we will regret. The Lord says Vengeance or Revenge belongs to God not us.

Some things we can't control but we can control our attitude.

Daniel Purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the World without bitterness and anger.

Daniel would go on to be one of the World's most Influential Leaders ever.

When was the last time you showed up somewhere and the door or gate was locked? Maybe it was the grocery store? How do you feel?

I don't know about you but I feel stressed. I worry that we don't have the supplies to get us through the night.

GREAT LEADERS ARE THANKFUL!

Today in the One Year Playbook we see the East Gate of the city closed until Jesus opens it in the future.

There have been many attempts to open the East Gate and all have failed. The East Gate will be locked until Jesus comes back and opens it.

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name"(Psalm 100:4, NKJ)

Friends we don't have to wait until this prophesy is fulfilled. God can open up the gates of Opportunity right now. When Jesus opens the gate He opens up Opportunity.

Did you know that God wants to rest His feet in our lives? God wants us to enjoy the now right now!

The Playbook says our body is the Temple of the Lord.

The Lord said to me, "Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place where I will rest my feet.." .Ezekiel 43:7

Psychologist William Morriston reported that 94% of the 3,000 persons he surveyed were enduring today in order to get to tomorrow.

GREAT LEADERS ENJOY THE NOW!

Is that what life is about? Are we supposed to just get by? Is life that miserable?

God does not want us to just endure the present to get to the future. God wants us to enjoy the present. The Lord wants to hang out with us and give us rest and peace in the now right now.

Friends, the place Ezekiel is talking about is the new Temple that will be built in the future. However it is also our lives. God wants to rest in our lives now.

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." Rev 3:20

What is it we are enduring? Is it our job, school, relationships, ect.. ?

Have you ever had to deal with a leaky radiator? Every day you have to refill it with fluid only to have it leak out again. Over time it gets worse and worse until the radiator overheats and leaves you stranded with major car repairs.

Today in the One Year Playbook we see the Future Temple in Ezekiel 40. God will use adversity to help us. The Lord turns Problems into Opportunities. The Lord is telling the people that this isn't it.

God was saying You Will Live Again! All hope is not lost. He was encouraging the people to believe in the Future and Plan of God.

Now we come back to reality where Jeremiah is saying Israel and Judah are like broken cisterns. Just like a radiator they didn't realize there was a leak in their relationship with God until it was too late.

GREAT LEADERS DO A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK!

Jeremiah 2:13 - For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

The people forgot what God had done for them. The enemy was about to take over and Jeremiah was pleading with the people to turn 180 degrees and follow God. They did not so the Assyrians and Babylonians invaded and destroyed the nation.

In the same way we need to make sure we don't have a "leaky radiator.". So how do we do this? We do a diagnostic check to find out.

It is not only in our peer groups but also the Media, TV, Radio ect..

Today in the One Year Playbook we see an incredible prophesy. Ezekiel 38,39 talk about how the world is against Israel and how God will defend Israel.

It speaks of Gog, Magog, Rosh, Tubal, ect.. It also speaks of Rosh or Russia from the North invading Israel in the last days. This has not happened yet however it could happen any day.

Iran has oil. Russia has nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Russia needs oil and Iran needs nuclear weapons. Over the past 10 years these two counties have been exchanging these items.

Iran now has Nuclear Weapons and Russia can now survive because it has oil. Iraq is no longer able to stop Iran. So the next move has to be for Russia to attack Israel just like this passage says. Why? Israel has oil and is an ally with the USA. Israel is the only way we can defend the USA from abroad.

When will all of this take place? Good question. The Jews had to come back to their homeland and become a nation again (Ezekiel 37) before the invasion from the North could take place. So this scenario could only happen after 1948 when Israel became a nation again.

"I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel." Ezekiel 39:7

In the end everyone will know why we put our trust in God. Stay strong my friend!

GREAT LEADERS LIVE AGAIN!

Today in the One Year Playbook we see the Lord asking Ezekiel a question.

GREAT LEADERS LIVE AGAIN!

"The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"

Ezekiel did not pretend to know the answer. There are some questions in life that only God can answer.

In 1948 on April 14th Israel became a nation again. This is remarkable especially right after the Holocaust. No nation has ever gone 6 generations without a homeland and survived. Israel survived for close to 2000 years without a homeland until 1948.

Jesus said, "I tell you before it happens so when it does happen you might believe."

Friends, in the same way Israel "lived again," God also wants us to live again.

The Lord wants our Nation to live again.

The Lord wants our Families to live again.
The Lord wants our Goals to live again.

The Lord wants our Passion for Him to live again.

The Lord wants our Great Attitude to live again.

The Lord wants our Encouragement to live again.

The Lord wants our Overcoming Attitude to win again.

God put us here for a purpose!
The enemy wants to stop what God has started in our lives.

The Bible tells us God will finish His work in our lives.

Do circumstances ever get you down? Life is full of situations that we cannot control.

Sometimes we feel like we are in a valley. The Bible calls it the "Valley of Indecision." This valley is filled with all types of fear and despair. To get across the valley and to the top of the mountain seems impossible.

We feel frozen with fear. Our mind is racing over and over with the "what ifs."

The trails are crooked. The water is filled with crocodiles & alligators. There are poisonous snakes ect...

Do you ever feel this way about life? Are you at the end of your rope?

How do we get across the valley to stable ground and up the mountain?

What is Trust?

Trust is a firm reliance on the integrity, ability, etc., of a person or thing; confident expectation

So if we rely on the Lord's integrity we are in a great place. He won't let us down. Now we can be sure he will give us the power to expect great things.

Here is a verse in Hebrews that puts everything into perspective.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire."

What is the purpose of Bible Prophesy? Prophesy is telling the future before it happens. Prophesy is also speaking forth God's Word.

Today in the One Year Bible Ezekiel is relaying a prophesy of God to the people. He was saying the city of Tyre would be wiped out and forgotten in the future.

The city of Tyre was center of the world's exports and imports. Tyre was the capital of the world and had the highest gross national product and revenue of the rest of the world combined.

Tyre was also like Las Vegas and Amsterdam. It was a place of entertainment and night life. It was a city of drugs, prostitution and gambling. There was a lot of underground crime and mafia organizations.

Tyre was a city that was thought to be untouchable by any enemy as it was the place that provided all the resources financially and for entertainment.

GREAT LEADERS TRUST THE PLAYBOOK!

"I, the LORD God, will turn you into a ghost-town. The ocean depths will rise over you and carry you down to the world of the dead, where you will join people of ancient times and towns ruined long ago. You will stay there and never again be a city filled with people. You will die a horrible death! People will come looking for your city, but it will never be found. I, the LORD, have spoken." Ezekiel 26:19

This is an amazing prophesy that was fulfilled partially by Nebuchadnezzar and then finished off by Alexander The Great in the 300's B.C.

Today the original city of Tyre is no more exactly the way the Bible described it.

There are two reasons for Prophesy: to strengthen our belief that God can tell the future.

Secondly Bible Prophesy proves the Bible is true. No other book is Supernatural like the Bible and Predicts the Future with 100 percent accuracy.

The second reason for prophesy is to show that we need to place our trust in God and not the world.

There are 100's of prophesy's in the bible that have come true. This prophecy of Tyre is just one of many.

Jesus said, "I tell you these things before they happen so when they do happen you might believe."

GREAT LEADERS RESOLVE THEIR CONFLICTS!

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed a mediator to help you?

What is a Mediator?

A Mediator may refer to: A neutral party who assists in negotiations and conflict resolution,...

In other words a mediator is someone who stands in the middle of a conflict and tries to help two parties settle a dispute.

Today in the One Year Playbook we see Christ being our Mediator.

GREAT LEADERS RESOLVE THEIR CONFLICTS!

"For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant." Romans 9:15

Friends, this is Great News! Christ is in the middle of the dispute between us and God.

GREAT LEADERS RESOLVE THEIR CONFLICTS!

God demands perfection under the Old Covenant. We are imperfect people. So our Mediator wrote a New Covenant or Agreement.

So how do you get the two parties to negotiate? The two parties are God and us. In the middle is a big gap. A large separation.

GREAT LEADERS RESOLVE THEIR CONFLICTS!

Jesus Christ stands in the Gap mediating on our behalf. The conflict we have is a Holy God that demands perfection. The problem we have is we are not perfect.

Christ Jesus stands in the gap and connects us to a perfect God. This is Conflict Resolution.

GREAT LEADERS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

Have you ever been super bumbed by a mistake you made? Does your mind sound like a broken record saying, "why did I do that?" Is your mind spinning out of control with conviction?

Today in the One Year Playbook we see God's incredible love for us.

GREAT LEADERS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

The Lord knew the enemy would deceive us and cause us to sin and then he would torment us for the sin.

This is how the enemy can take us out of the game. However God had a better way. Instead of trying to be perfect by obeying the 10 commandments (the old covenant) God sent His Son to take our guilt and shame and free us up with forgiveness.

GREAT LEADERS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

"For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said:

 'The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.'" Hebrews 8:7-8

God knew there was no way to free us up from guilt and shame and the never ending recorder in our mind convicting us daily.

God knew we would quit and give up.

So God gave us a New Covenant and ripped up the old one.

GREAT LEADERS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

"But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Romans 5:8

God didn't make someone else pay the price for our sin. God Himself paid the price and took our guilt and shame on the cross.

GREAT LEADERS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS!

Friends, we are Forgiven! We can move on and get back in the Game. We can concentrate on our Goals and telling people this Great News!

The Lord has freed us from the bondage of sin. God wants us to conquer our addictions and habits. When we make mistakes in the process God will encourage us and help us get over it.

Now turn on the Recorder that says God has a Great Plan for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 says God has a future for you to prosper and to be an effective soldier for him.

GREAT LEADERS GO TO THE SANCTUARY

Have you ever asked why evil exists?

When evil things happen to innocent people we wonder why? Why would God allow this to happen?

It is a tough question.

The Bible says, "when I went to the Sanctuary I began to understand."

GREAT LEADERS GO TO THE SANCTUARY

When we are upset and feel like there was an injustice done by someone or a group of people we need to go to the Sanctuary.

What is the Sanctuary? It is a quiet spot away from others with no distractions. For me it is an empty football field at night when no one is around.

For Jacob it was Bethel. That place where he first found God. Jacob was confused. His daughter was going out with a young man from Shechem that took advantage of her. When her brothers found out they lashed out and murdered the young man and a lot of people.

Jacob was very upset. His whole life was unraveling. The Lord spoke to Jacob and told him to go back to Bethel.

It is hard to do but we need to think before we react. Jacob's sons did not think long term and what the fallout would be.

GREAT LEADERS GO TO THE SANCTUARY

"Blessed are those who act justly,
who always do what is right."

Friends, we all have a special place where God met us and changed our lives. That is our Sanctuary. If you can't get there find an alternate place. No matter what make it a priority today to go to your Sanctuary.

Now with regards to evil. Here is a great quote that says the reason evil exists is so God can perform miracles in our lives.

"God judged it better to bring good out of evil than to suffer no evil to exist."

Israel didn't measure up. If they were going to be successful they would have to rely on God.

The same is true for us. When we are the underdog and don't measure up we need to rely on the Lord.

GREAT LEADERS KNOW TODAY'S THE DAY!

Do you ever worry about tomorrow and what may happen in the future?

All of us have worried at some time in our life. The opposite of worry is boasting. Another word for boasting is bragging.

In the Playbook James and Solomon tell us not to boast about tomorrow because we don't know what is going to happen.

GREAT LEADERS KNOW TODAY'S THE DAY!

"Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring." Proverbs 27:1

In Daniel 5 Belshazzar starts boasting about tomorrow. He was the King of Babylon. Babylon ruled the world at this time.

Belshazzar was so arrogant that he had the butler get the golden wine glasses from Solomon's Temple. Then he drank out of the golen wine glasses. He was basically saying, "I am mightier than the God of Israel!"

That night the Babylonian Empire was taken over by the Medo-Persian Empire.

Friends, we don't know what is going to happen tomorrow.

"This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

Our spiritual life is God's project in our life. He created each of us with a Special Purpose in mind. The Lord's project in our life is a "work in progress."

Have you ever wanted something so bad that all you did was think about it over and over?

Maybe it was a car or a ski boat?

After a while the newness wore off. The car wasn't as great as you thought. The ski boat keeps breaking down.

Sometimes our relationship with God can lose that excitement of when we first found God. After a while complacency sets in and we take God for granted.

When this happens we are very vulnerable. Complacency is a tough opponent.

So how do we defeat complacency? We keep reading the word every morning and allow God to keep working in our lives.

Another thing we can do to keep the excitement going and not get complacent is to mentor new believers.

Take someone under your wing and help them accomplish their goals in the Lord.

Today in the One Year Playbook we get clarification of God's Faithfulness.

GREAT LEADERS HAVE GRACE!

A lot of times we think God is out to get us after we sin. We think that God is a fault finder.

God is not a Fault Finder. God Loves to Forgive when we ask.

Jon Courson say's, "God doesn't say Aha! I'm going to expose that sin and embarrass you. That is not the nature of the Father. No it is sin itself that will come to fruition."

GREAT LEADERS HAVE GRACE!

"Every time I sin, that sin will sooner or later track me down, find me out, and humiliate me. But it's not God doing this. Rather, it's the work of the Enemy to not only seduce us into sin, but to expose and humiliate us through it."

God loves us and wants the best for us. When we allow the Enemy to Condemn us we are falling into his trap. First he causes us to do the sin then he beats us up after we have done it. Then we are trapped in a sticky web with no escape.

GREAT LEADERS HAVE GRACE!

Here is a great verse to think about the next time we think God is condemning us.

"Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22

Our own sin will find us out and the enemy will try to destroy us. When we call on God He will Find us, Rescue us and have Compassion on us if we humble ourselves and ask Him to do so.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

GREAT LEADERS HAVE GRACE!

However if we ignore the Lord, sin will destroy us. Now is that God's fault? We shouldn't blame it on God. It is the sin that found us out.

The Good News is the Lord is trying to Rescue us from ourselves.

God's Grace is "Getting something we don't deserve.". Jesus will forgive us and give us a New Beginning If we turn 180 degrees and follow Him.

Jesus said that He came to seek and save those that are lost. When we are found out by our sin and trapped by the Enemy He will seek us, find us and save us if we are willing to let Him save us.

GREAT LEADERS LEAD A COMEBACK!

Have you ever been bumbed out because of some mistakes you have made?

All of us have regretted decisions we have made.

GREAT LEADERS LEAD A COMEBACK!

Today in the One Year Playbook we learn what happens when we continue to Ignore God.

"How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave." Lamentations 1:1

"Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe." Lamentations 1:5

This is referring to Judah and how the Nation once ruled the world. Now they are enslaved again like they were in Egypt many years ago.

This can also apply to the USA.

Most importantly it applies to us as individuals. God did an Incredible Work in our lives and we were at the top of the world. We were praising God every moment of the day.

When we received Christ we were Freed from the slavery and the bondage of sin. We were free of bitterness and regret. We stopped second guessing ourselves because we knew were in God's Will. We lived a Life of Confidence because our Confidence was in the Lord.

GREAT LEADERS LEAD A COMEBACK!

Just like Israel and Judah we gradually stopped seeking God and were not Ready for His Word to be performed in our lives.

As a result we have become enslaved to addictions, emotions, depression, self doubt ect... and have passed it on to the Next Generation.

Now we are depressed and feel like we have no hope.

So what do we doer?

GREAT LEADERS LEAD A COMEBACK!

"Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

- Humble
- Pray
- Seek God's Face
- Turn 180 degrees

Yes, we can come back and Win! When we Win on God's terms we will build a deep foundation for current and future generations.

Here Jeremiah says God is Ready to perform His Word.

Jeremiah's prophecy opens with God saying, "I am ready to perform My Word" and it closes with evidence that God did what He said He would do.

Friends, we need to be Ready when God is Ready to Perform His Word in our lives.

Are we Ready?

Is our Nation Ready?

Is our City Ready?

Is our Friends Ready?

Is our Family Ready?

Are the children Ready?

Am I Ready?

Try a Fire Drill at home and see who is ready. Then compare the Fire Drill to always being Ready.

The Word tells us to be ready in season and out of season... 2 Timothy 4:2

This is Great Advice for our spiritual lives as well as our daily goals in school, business, sports ect...

GREAT LEADERS ARE READY!

You never know when God is going to be Ready to perform His Great Word in our lives.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

Do you ever feel sluggish? Sometimes when the weekend gets here we hit a wall and crash.

Why do we get sluggish? After a football game we are physically exhausted. After a work/school week we are mentally exhausted.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

Sometimes a disappointment will make us sluggish. Sometimes it is a relationship in turmoil.

The wheels in our head start spinning out of control. We stay in bed and don't want to get up because we fear the unknown.

Here Solomon recognizes the excuses people make for not pushing ahead to accomplish their goals.

"A sluggard says, "There's a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!" As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed."
Proverbs 26:13-14

GREAT LEADERS FIND AWAY!

It looks like Solomon is putting down the sluggard and wants us to be aware of becoming complacent and lazy.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

However maybe the cause associated with some "sluggards" is depression.

When we hurt we become depressed. When we become depressed we don't want to go outside and face the world. It is easier to just roll over.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

So how do we get out of depression and get back in the game?

One way is to donate our time to serving others. Another way is to get busy. Have a goal and a purpose. Jer 29:11

John said, "He must increase and I must decrease."

"Enoch walked with God and Enoch was not for God raptured him."

Enoch realized he was not and put the Lord first in his life. God took him right where he was.

Here is what Jesus and Isaiah had to say:

"Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

"You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still"(Exodus 14:14, NIV)

Mentally be Still and let God work out the details. Our job is to show up for work and do our best then commit the rest.

GREAT LEADERS SACRIFICE!

Do you ever have a hard time praying and singing to the Lord? Do you have a hard time taking 10 minutes in the morning to read the Word? What about putting on that smile when we don't want to?

Let's face it sometimes we just don't feel like it and are not into it.

So what do we do? Do we take the easy way out and say, "Oh I will just watch the pastor on TV."

GREAT LEADERS SACRIFICE!

Did you know that when we Praise God when we don't feel like it God is Honored?
"Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song." Psalm 95

Paul said, "the Spirit is willing but my flesh is week."

GREAT LEADERS SACRIFICE!

"When we Give God our Best when we are at our Worst God is Honored.

What is a Sacrifice? It is giving our most important possession to God.

What is our most important Possession?

The Time we take to Praise God is our most important possession.

What are we taking the Time to Praise?

We all serve something. Do we Praise the Creator or His Creation?

The Bible calls it a Sacrifice of Praise to God.

 "By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name" (Hebrews 13:15).

When we Sacrifice our most Important Possession to God He will give back 100 times.

God will pour Joy and Peace on our life like we can't believe. God will pour Confidence and Assurance on us. We will enter every situation Knowing and Expecting God to do Great things.

The bible says "let everything that has breath praise the Lord." (Psalms 150:6)

Let's give God our most Important Possession: Time and Praise to Him

How many times has God been there for you when you were down and out? How many times has God provided someone to come along and help you at just the right time when you were slipping?

How many times have you been so depressed you couldn't get out of bed?

Maybe this isn't you but I bet you know someone who is who is slipping. I bet you know someone who is depressed and anxious.

GREAT LEADERS GIVE HOPE!

Check out what David says in this Psalm:

"Unless the LORD had given me help,
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said, "My foot is slipping,"
your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy."

Friends, God will give you help when you ask. If you have a friend in this situation God wants to use you to deliver the message of Hope.
