S180: QUIET
What does it mean to be QUIET? What does the World say? - Lash out! - Accuse! - Ridicule! - Gossip What does Jesus say? "Some people will vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back." Proverbs 29:11 THOUGHT 180: "It is the Glory of God to hide a mistake!" Proverbs 25:2 Friends, The Lord always wants us to take the high road. When I get caught up in the daily "Rat Race" I get anxious and want things done RIGHT NOW! What happens when someone wrongs us? Some people want Revenge. Some people escape to Drugs. Some people escape to sleeping ! All of these situations have the same underlying cause, and the end result is SEPARATION from the people we love. What is the Underlying Cause to all of these escapes? When Adam heard Christ walking in the Garden the Bible tells us that Adam was Afraid and hid from God. Fear turned to Anxiety and Anxiety turn into blaming God and others for his mistake. "it is this woman you gave me that caused all of this!" Friends, the Bible tells us over and over that we were born imperfect. "All have sinned (DNA. Genetic Character Defects) and have come up short to the Glory of God!" A couple chapters later Paul tells us that there was sin or DNA Genetic Defects in him known as the flesh that was causing him to feel Wretched with no Hope! He said, it is not me that does these things but sin or DNA Genetic Defects within me that does it! Wow! Paul said that? I can actually separate me from the sin within me? Yes. Paul even tells us that our battle isn't in the Flesh but is in the Spiritual realm. The Flesh is the Mechanism Of Action that Satan uses as a Slave Driver to pull us away from the Lord. The Word of God says, "there is therefore no condemnation to those in Christ!" Romans 8:1 So the real you is the Spirit within you. Your Spirit communicates with God's Spirit to overcome all of the desires of your DNA Genetic Character Defects! John Hopkins Department of Medicine has numerous studies that show Anxiety comes from a lack of serotonin and dopamine imbalances in our brain. The more balanced our brain is the more relaxed we are when situations arise. This is just one of the DNA Genetic Character Defects that some of us were born with. This Chemical imbalance is no different than having poor vision. Does God hold us accountable for having poor vision? No way! In fact Jesus was asked why a certain person was born blind? They asked Jesus who's fault it was that God would punish this young person with blindness. Jesus said it was no ones fault! Jesus said this person was blind so everyone would see Him turn a problem into an opportunity and heal the young person! It is what it is: - Accept it - Take responsibility - Just Go Now! Jesus died and rose again to show us that we can overcome all of our Character Defects. "The life in the flesh is in the blood!" Lev 17:11 So Jesus came in the Flesh to give us a New Life in the Spirit! This is why Paul could make such a bold statement! This makes it possible to separate the real me which is my new birth in the Spirit with no DNA Genetic Character Defects from the Flesh which has all the above! Why does The Lord devote over 75% of Scripture to ANXIETY? - When man chose to take and eat from forbidden tree something happened Immediately to Adam and Eve. As you watch the scene roll out Adam Experiences Anxiety for the first time. Was the Anxiety already deep in their DNA or did the act of disobedience cause a Chemical Reaction of their Sarotonin levels that would never come fully be healed?

What is FEAR? What does the World say? - The World says No Fear! However they are really saying God doesn't exist I'm going to what I want! - I make up my own rules! What does Jesus say? - Wisdom (Jesus) spoke to Solomon and Solomon told us that the "Fear or Respect for The Lord is the beginning of Wisdom!" Wisdom (Jesus) spoke to Solomon and Solomon told us that the "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." THOUGHT 180: To Avoid the FEAR TRAP all you have to do is Focus on your Respect for God and His Law! S180: SUCCESS
What does SUCCESS look like? What does the World say? - Money - Fame - Popular - Finish #1 - Run Over People "What is it you want?" Jesus asked. She said, "Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom." Matthew 20:21 What does Jesus say? "Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant," Matt 20:25-26 ENTITLED 180: Friends, we live in a World of Me First mentality. All of us (me included) have been trying so hard just to get ahead at any cost. Sometimes we even think we are owed something and that it is the World's Privilege to have us. We are in the ENTITLED GENERATION! However, deep down we also know it is all a game and we have become Great Actors covering all of hurt, guilt and pain. Depression sets in and within a Millisecond we are stricken with Anxiety. We know where we Need to be but we also know there is know way we will ever get there. You see (no pun intended) I didn't know life could be so Incredible until I fixed my Eye Problem with glasses. SOLUTION 180: Serve Others First and you will have anything and everything you desire! How do I know this? Because, when life is about others first your "I PROBLEM" will go away! SUDDENLY everything Appears Crystol Clear and the Anxiety Gap begins to close! Before you watch it, the story behind the song:
The time was 1940. America was in a terrible economic depression. Hitler was taking over Europe and Americans were afraid we'd have to go to war.
It was a time of hardship and worry for Americans. This was just before TV, radio shows were HUGE, and families sat around their radios in the evenings, listening to their favorite entertainers, and no entertainer was bigger than Kate Smith.
Kate was also large; plus size, as we now say, and the popular phrase still used today is in deference to her, "It ain't over till the fat lady sings ". Kate Smith might not have made it big in the age of TV, but with her voice coming over the radio, she was the biggest star of her time.
Kate was also patriotic. It hurt her to see Americans so depressed and afraid of what the next day would bring. She had hope for America, and faith in her fellow Americans. She wanted to do something to cheer them up, so she went to song-writer, Irving Berlin (who also wrote "White Christmas") and asked him to write a song that would make Americans feel good about their country. When she described what she was looking for, he had just the song for her.
He went to his files and found a song that he had written, but never published, 22 years before back in 1917.
He gave it to her and she worked on it with her studio orchestra. She and Irving Berlin were not sure how the song would be received, but both agreed they would not take profits. Any profits would go to the Boy Scouts of America. Over the years, the Boy Scouts have received millions of dollars in royalties from this song.
This video starts out with Kate Smith coming into the radio studio with the orchestra and an audience. She introduces the new song for the very first time, and starts singing. After the first couple verses, with her voice in the background still singing, scenes are shown from the 1940 movie, "You're In The Army Now."
At the 4:20 mark of the video you see a young actor in the movie, sitting in an office, reading a paper; it's Ronald Reagan .
To this day, God Bless America stirs our patriotic feelings and pride in our country. Back in 1940, when Kate Smith went looking for a song to raise the spirits of her fellow Americans,
I doubt she realized how successful the results would be for Americans during those years of hardship and worry..... and for many generations to follow.
Now that you know the story, I hope you'll enjoy it and treasure it even more.

JUST GO! What does Jesus Say? "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away." Luke 21:33 180 THOUGHT: When did you Realize the Awesome Power HIS WORD had in your life? When you walk with Jesus everyday and anticipate that something great is about to happen..... It does! I anticipate something great and experience something Incredible everyday!
