Part 1
"Who told you that you were naked?" the LORD God asked. "Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?"
I thought, Maybe It was this "Gift of Knowledge" they received from the Serpent that made them afraid and ashamed? Maybe it was their disobedience and lack of Trust in my Redeemer that revealed it to them?
Then I thought I can understand why they would want the knowledge of Good but why would anyone want the knowledge of Evil? Isn't Knowledge Power?
Then I remembered my Redeemer's Living Spirit (who is Not a Cosmic Force) inspired Paul to write,
"I know that nothing good lives in me; that is, nothing good lives in my corrupt nature. Although I have the desire to do what is right, I don't do it." Romans 7:18
Then I realized that the battles I fight every day start with thoughts that turn into desires that are controlled by my Mind or Knowledge! Knowledge brings Expectations and unmet Expectations bring disappointment.
Disappointment brings depression. Depression plays out in Temp Relief and the Cycle goes on and on like a Hamster Wheel.
So if my mind is convinced that something is Good then the desire will play out and sometimes that is not so Good.
So it all has to do with what and who I listen to right?
Then my Redeemer said,
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other..... "
Now that I have His Spirit living in me there is a war that is going on in my character for the control of my desires. This is the war between my Mind and my Spirit living within me.
Then my Redeemer said, "this is true so walk in my Spirit and you will not perform the desire and craving of your character flaws and shortcomings of your DNA that makes you crave the Knowledge of Good and Evil."
Galatians. 5:16

"Gregg Jackson has done it again. From the Conservative Book of the Month Selection, and then to the Book of the Year Selection, Gregg has now written a book that every parent and grandparent should read! And those of us with younger kids should read 40 Things to Teach Your Kid Before You Die to them out loud!"
(Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr., professor, Reformation Bible College, pastor, Ascension Presbyterian Church)
"The 40 lessons that Gregg Jackson wants to teach his children (that the secular world won't) are not only undeniably Biblical they are unapologetically orthodox; not only filled with a realistic worldview of Creation-Fall, but also a glorious hope of Christ-centered Redemption; and, most importantly, not just for children, but for all of us...
