Do you ever get Burnt - Out? Do you ever feel like there is no end to the load you carry?
ARE YOU BURNT - OUT?
What do we do when we are overwhelmed with anxiety and stress?
King David's life was a mess later in his career. He was going through his mid life crises and overwhelmed with a lot of family issues.
ARE YOU BURNT - OUT?
The answer for David was to go to the Sanctuary.
"till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny." Psalm 73:17
Do you need to Understand a few things and get a game plan for the Future?
Go To The Sanctuary!
ARE YOU BURNT - OUT?
Jacob's life was also a mess in his mid life. His son's had a very bad reputation. They murdered the men of Shechem when they were healing from surgery.
Jacob was very upset out about some of the decisions his sons and daughter were making. The Reputation of his family was tarnished. Jacob felt as if he did something wrong as a father.
ARE YOU BURNED OUT?
The enemy loves to throw guilt at us. The enemy tries to make us feel bad. The enemy tries to throw us under the bus.
The Lord told Jacob to go back to Bethel.
God took Jacob back to that place where he first met God.
That was Jacob's Sanctuary.
It was That Place where he was so Burnt - Out running from Reality that he went to sleep on a Rock. He used a Rock for a Pillow. Anything to Escape his Reality.
It was That Place where he saw the Real Stairway to Heaven.
It was That Place where God Promised him and his Descendants a Great Future.
It was That Place where he Found Rest and Peace on the Inside no matter what was going on around him.
ARE YOU BURNT - OUT?
What about us? Do we need to go back to Bethel? Do we need a Rock for a Pillow?
The Good News is this:
Jesus Is that Rock and Pillow. Jesus is the Stairway to Heaven.
We don't have to "Buy A Stairway To Heaven." Jesus Bought the Stairway for us and as a bonus gave us an incredible High Tech Pillow to Rest on.
ARE YOU BURNT - OUT?
What about you? Do you need to go back to Bethel? Do you need a better Pillow?
Where is your Sanctuary?
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"
(Matthew 11:28, NIV)
Just Go - Leave Nothing Behind!
Rick
