God calls this a Sacrifice of Praise! What is a Sacrifice?

A Sacrifice in baseball is the willingness to bunt the ball and get thrown out to advance the runners on base to win the game.

This is a hard thing to do when you know you can hit a home run and be a hero but it must be done. Why? Because the coach told you to do it and he is the coach.

We must rely on the coach and respect his decision for the betterment of the Team.

"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."

Friends, The Battle here is within our Soul. Then the writer says, "Hope thou in God"

Why?

Remember, when all is said and done the only Hope we have is God. This is where God wants us to be.

Sometimes God brings us to a point where we have nothing. Is this a good thing?

This is not only a Good Thing it is a Great Thing! When all we have is Him then this is where He can begin to work in our life again.
When we come to the end of us we come to the beginning of Him!

Psalm 139 says God is the one who put us together in the first place. All we had then was Him. He fashioned us and formed us in our mothers womb. We had no control over the situation and we had to rely on Him.

Today is our New Beginning to Rely on Him again. Today is our moment of Opportunity to let Him put the pieces together again for a Great Future and a Great Hope in His Plan for our Lives.

Also, don't forget Jesus listened to His Coach and Sacrificed His Life for us so we could Win!
