"But Daniel was Stubborn and Purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank....."
Daniel 1:8

I asked my Redeemer,

"Is it good to be stubborn,
willful, strong-willed, inflexible, iron-willed, uncompromising, unbending?

Chapter 22
You Should Be Narrow-Minded!

"The world will say you should not be narrow-minded, and you must be 'tolerant' of all beliefs, because there isn't just one 'right' way. Everyone has to decide for themselves what is right."

Gregg goes on to tell us what The Lord says,

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Gregg is right on! We have a society that believes being stubborn and narrow-minded is a bad thing.

My Redeemer's stubborn narrow-minded road is a great thing! When we are stubborn and narrow-minded we are focused on God's best for our lives! When this happens we are stable in all of our ways like the person in a Psalm 1. Why would we want anything less?

Then My Redeemer's Spirit said to me, "My friend Daniel was focused, committed stubborn and narrow-minded about his goals no matter what happened! Daniel was even thrown into a lion's den for his stubborn narrow-mindedness.

Daniel made a commitment to Excellence early on in his life and he never wavered, Daniel was focused, determined stubborn and narrow-minded for a reason bigger then himself.

Maybe this was the reason God used Daniel in such a mighty way!

Daniel's Cause and Determination was to save his family. Without this Passion for Excellence Daniel's family would have perished and the lions would have eaten him.

Now I realize being Stubborn is a great thing when my narrow-mindedness is for the benefit of others first. Even though I go through Pain and Agony I am at a Peace no human can understand. Why is this?

This is our Lord's Supernatural Peace guarding us with the ability to endure our sufferings.

Then My Lord said, "I was stubborn and narrow-minded because of my love for you and your family Rick. Anything other then my narrow-road would have been a disaster for you Rick!

I had to travel a narrow-road called the Via De La Rosa which means, "The Way of Pain!"

Everyone wants to run from pain Rick!

Why is this?

My Stubborn way of Pain got me 39 lashes and a Cross. But it seemed like nothing compared to the Love and Glory I envisioned being with you and your family in My Father's house Rick.

"I consider that our present sufferings because of our (narrow-mindedness) is not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." Paul Romans 8:18

Now go do likewise Rick! Be Stubborn and Narrow-Minded for your family's sake Rick!
