There was a successful business man that was in his office one morning. It was his daughter's birthday. As he was going through his pile of "to do's" on his desk with his Anxiety driven mind his daughter came in to say hello.

As his Anxiety grew in his mind with the list of people, places and things he needed to accomplish by the end of business day 5pm east coast time he said,

"honey I don't have time right now I have many things to do many appointments, people to see and places to go..... you see this book? These are all the people I need to talk to today by 5pm east coast time which is 2pm our time."

She looked at him and said,
"it's okay daddy."

As she was walking out the door of his office she said,

"daddy?"

He looked up as she said,
"Am I in your book daddy?"

As I heard this story from Chuck Swindoll on the Radio it hit me like a ton of bricks. Chuck Swindoll was even tearing with a crackling voice as he gave the message.

The story above is a real story about a real dad with his daughter who just turned 14. It was in the kitchen not in his office that the conversation took place.

She didn't ask me about the book as
she sadly walked away...then I noticed her countenance change from a joyful girl who had just turned 14 to a sad girl with many thoughts going on in her head at such a vital moment in her young life.

After I came to grips with myself and my own anxiety I felt the touch of God and a whisper of encouragement to give my little girl the biggest bear hug there ever was.

I still had lots of things in my Anxiety box to get done but for a brief moment in this realm we call "time"
I saw the light!

The light of a young girl that knows her daddy loves her!

Yes, she is on page one right under Mom with all seven of her brothers and sisters.

"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy." Psalm 125:6
