GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

Team:

Do you ever feel sluggish? Sometimes when the weekend gets here we hit a wall and crash.

Why do we get sluggish? After a football game we are physically exhausted. After a work/school week we are mentally exhausted.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

Sometimes a disappointment will make us sluggish. Sometimes it is a relationship in turmoil.

The wheels in our head start spinning out of control. We stay in bed and don't want to get up because we fear the unknown.

Here Solomon recognizes the excuses people make for not pushing ahead to accomplish their goals.

"A sluggard says, "There's a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!" As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed."
Proverbs 26:13-14

GREAT LEADERS FIND AWAY!

It looks like Solomon is putting down the sluggard and wants us to be aware of becoming complacent and lazy.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

However maybe the cause associated with some "sluggards" is depression.

When we hurt we become depressed. When we become depressed we don't want to go outside and face the world. It is easier to just roll over.

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

So how do we get out of depression and get back in the game?

One way is to donate our time to serving others. Another way is to get busy. Have a goal and a purpose. Jer 29:11

John said, "He must increase and I must decrease."

"Enoch walked with God and Enoch was not for God raptured him."

Enoch realized he was not and put the Lord first in his life. God took him right where he was.

Here is what Jesus and Isaiah had to say:

"Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

"You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3

GREAT LEADERS FIND A WAY!

"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still"(Exodus 14:14, NIV)

Mentally be Still and let God work out the details. Our job is to show up for work and do our best then commit the rest.

"There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread." Mother Teresa
