THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Team:

Do you ever feel discouraged?

Jonah was like a lot of us. God's call on Jonah's life was to be a Preacher and tell everyone about God's Love.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Jonah resisted God's call on his life. Jonah wanted to keep Partying and Hanging out with his Peeps.

Jonah was miserable! He wanted to Escape. He waited for his so called friends to page him.

Then God said, "Get up out of bed Jonah!"

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Friends, Sometimes we resist God's call on our life. This is what Jonah did.

Jonah was diagnosed with severe depression. Jonah wanted to escape.

Jonah hid in bed and pulled the sheets over his head. Jonah didn't want to face reality.

Jonah felt Condemned because he was resisting God's call on his life.

Have you ever felt condemned?

Have you ever felt unworthy?

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"
(Romans 8:1, NKJV)

When we realize we are following Christ not because we Have to but because we Want to life becomes a lot more mellow.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

God wants us to follow Him because we are Grateful for what He has done in our lives. When we Truly Realize what Christ did for us we automatically want to serve Him.

Isaiah 52 and 53 tells us the Agony and Pain God would go through to save us.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Isaiah tells us that God would endure the Pain so we would be healed.

Isaiah tells us we were like sheep that wondered off aimlessly without a plan.

Isaiah tells us that God poured out the punishment for our sin on the Messiah.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Paul tells us in the New Testament that God endured the Cross for the Joy that was set before Him.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

God did all this for us!

God dropped everything He was doing in Eternity to Rescue us from our Sin.

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Greater love has no one than God because He laid down His life for us.

What was that Joy?

The Joy of Encouraging us to be all that we were Created to be.

The Joy of seeing us live a life of Purpose!
The Joy of seeing us filled with Joy because our sin is forgiven!

The Joy of being with us for Eternity!

THE GOD WHO ENCOURAGES!

Just Go! Win The Day!

Rick
