SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

Team:

What kinds of things make us Idle?

Fear of the Unknown?
Uncertainty about the Future?

What if this happens? What if that happens? What if I make the wrong decision? What if...... ?

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

This is when we get Paralysis by Analysis! In other words, too many decisions confuse us so we don't make a decision.

Then we don't want to make a Decision because then we are Committed. If we are Committed we are Locked In with no way out.

Have you ever felt like that?

What are some other things that cause us to have Idol Hands?

Complacency after a lot of Success?

Forgetting the Dedication and Hard Work that was required to get to us to the Top?
When Zerubbabel was building the Temple, God reminded the people to remember the Small Things and the Dedication it will take to the Top.

"Do not despise the day of small things. Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel"
Zechariah 4:10

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

To be Idle means to Stop and be in Neutral. When water is motionless and in Neutral it gets Stagnant and Diseased.

Whether we are Fearful or Successful Idleness can Poison us.

We need to keep Setting and Moving Toward New Goals!

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

If you are afraid then you are in good company. Zerubbabel was afraid and fearful of the commitment.

Zerubbabel probably had OCD as he was looking at all that had to be done to build the Temple.

Then God showed Zerubbabel that he didn't need to be overwhelmed and fearful of committing. God told Zerubbabel that it was by God's Spirit that he would get the Courage to finish the Temple.

Did you know that you are also the Temple of God? In fact the Lord told us that He was the One who started building your Temple and He is the One who will Finish it.

Genesis 5 tells us that Enoch Walked with God!

Enoch's Secret was what? He walked with God!

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

"Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger." Proverbs 19:15

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

"Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not." 1 Timothy 5:13

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

As a Nation we have Enjoyed a lot of Success over the past 200 years. All of that Success has made us Idle and Complacent. We have forgotten our maker!

A sense of Entitlement has crept into our Nation. This Entitlement Attitude will also make us Idle and Complacent.

"When a Nation goes down, or a Society or Church Perishes, one condition may always be found; they Forgot where they came from."
Carl Sandburg - Pulitzer Prize Winner

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM BEFORE YOU KNEW CHRIST?

Friends, God put us here to not only Grow but to Excel. God put us here for a Purpose and wants us to Execute with Success.

When we are Ripe and at the Top of our Game we need to Keep Moving! If we are Idle and Stagnant we will Rot and get Poisoned with laziness.

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

"If the Devil finds a Man idle, he'll set him at Work." (J. Kelly, _Scottish Proverbs_, 1721)

Are you Idle? START SMALL LIKE ZERUBBABEL!

Read one or two verses of the Playbook every morning.

Tell others about what you found in God's Playbook.

SAY NO TO IDLE HANDS! KEEP GOING!

Most of all, Just Keep Going! Win The Day!
