Leadership needs to be Consistent

Team:

Today in the One Year Playbook we see the Israel being divided because of poor Leadership. 2 Chronicles 12

After Solomon died his son Rehoboam became king. Rehoboam had a job as a Leader. His job was to serve the people and the Lord.

Jesus said the Greatest in the Kingdom of God is the Servant. He told His disciples that the Greatest Love is when a Leader lays down his life for a friend.

Rehoboam was 41 when he took over. He made the people angry because he became a dictator. He put the people under a much heavier work load then his father did.

He tried to force the people to follow him.
This caused a revolt and a split in the Kingdom.

The Playbook tells us that, " Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall."

This great Kingdom that David and Solomon established was now split.

Over the next 5 years Rehoboam got very wealthy and decided he didn't need God any more.

God allowed Egypt to invade the land to show Rehoboam what it was like to be in bondage again.

Sometimes God allows events to take place in our lives to shake us up a bit. He allows things to happen so we get our eyes back on Him.

Life is full of ups and downs but it is important to keep coming back to God.

God wants the best for us but sometimes we get in the way of His blessing in our lives.

God has Great plans for us. We need to be consistent.

Leadership needs to be Consistent
