GREAT LEADERS GIVE HOPE!

Team:

Do you ever feel like an outcast or an exile? Do you ever feel you don't belong? Do you ever feel that God has forgot about you?

The people in Jeremiah 29 were feeling this way. They were hoping for any good news. They are witnessing their future going down the tubes.

Sometimes when things are going south and hope is lost we want to believe anything that is going to make us feel better.

The false prophets of their day are no different then they are right now. The enemy will try to deceive us to believe a lie to get us off track. This is called a, "false sense of hope."

"They offer superficial treatments for my people's mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace." Jeremiah 6:14

Luckily Jeremiah was faithful and committed to the Lord. He spoke the truth even if his life was on the line.

GREAT LEADERS ARE HONEST!

In Jeremiah 29:20-23 Jeremiah sends a letter of encouragement to the exiles Nebuchadnezzar carried off to Babylon.

The Lord was saying, "Its not going to be easy but I will be with you all the way. I have a plan for you."

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer 29:11

GREAT LEADERS GIVE HOPE!

When we are feeling left out and like an outcast beware of the temptation to believe a lie.

The exiles that were taken to Babylon were like highschool students going hundreds of miles away to college. Sometimes when we are in an unfamiliar environment we feel all alone. We feel insecure. It is very tempting to fall for the first group that makes us feel at home.

It is so important to be well read in the Word and to find good friends to link up with to keep strong in the Lord.

GREAT LEADERS GIVE HOPE!

When we are feeling like their is no hope God will provide encouragement when we seek Him with all our heart.

"He measures the universe with the Span of His hand." Isaiah 40:12

The Universe is 14 billion light years.

How Big is God?

God is big enough to measure the universe with his hand yet small enough to be in your heart.

GREAT LEADERS GIVE HOPE!

Have a Powerful Day!!!

Just Go!!!
